The Gift

Once Offered

Once offered for the world, once offered for the creation, once offered for the beasts of the field, and once offered for the heavenlies, and Christ offered Himself ONCE for man. Many have not considered this wonderful Gift of God in the Lord Jesus Christ, and the vastness and the far-reaching effect of this offering. He was offered for ME, and He was offered for those who went before me, and for those who will come after me. An offering also speaks of a gift, and the Gift of God is His beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. And the remnant of the meat offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire. (Leviticus 2:3) In the book of Leviticus in the Old Testament the meat offering, or the gift offering was called a thing most holy of the offering of the LORD . . . If thou knewest the gift of God. (John 4:10)

Side Note: The Gift Offering, The Freewill Offering, the Voluntary Offering. In the book of Leviticus, the book of priestly actions, the book of the laws and order of offerings and sacrifices the Holy Spirit of God reveals the Gift of God offered.

The freewill offering (a gift offering) is recorded three (3) times in Leviticus.

Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whatsoever [he be] of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering; (Leviticus 22:18)

And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD to accomplish [his] vow, or a freewill offering in beeves or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein. (Leviticus 22:21)

Either a bullock or a lamb that hath any thing superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer [for] a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted. (Leviticus 22:23)

The voluntary offering (a gift offering) is mentioned only once in the Bible in Leviticus 7:16. But if the sacrifice of his offering [be] a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offereth his sacrifice: and on the morrow also the remainder of it shall be eaten.

In Leviticus Chapter 2, verses 3 and 10 there is the phrase a thing most holy of the offering.

And the remnant of the meat offering [shall be] Aaron’s and his sons’: [it is] a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire. (Leviticus 2:3)

And that which is left of the meat offering [shall be] Aaron’s and his sons’: [it is] a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire. (Leviticus 2:10) ♦ End of Side Note: The Gift Offering, The Freewill Offering, the Voluntary Offering.

The Gift of God CAME in the fullness of time, and God could not unwrap that Gift until that exact moment in time. But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law. (Galatians 4:4) This special Gift was wrapped in the impeccable cloth of God. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: (Hebrews 10: 5) God manifest in the flesh was the holy wrapping of the God Man, and given as a gift of redemption to ALL those who would call on His name. If thou knewest the gift of God. (John 4:10) For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given. The Gift of God is revealed in the prophetic writings of Isaiah. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6) The Holy Spirit in Isaiah 9:6 gives us a complete description of the child that was born: the child, that holy thing, the holy child, the Holy One, the Gift of God.

Wonderful

Once Offered

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28)

Wonderful, a name that expands and contains ALL eternity. Above all the names ascribed by God to the Lord Jesus Christ Wonderful is the wonder of wonders. The mind cannot grasp what God has wrapped in that one name, Wonderful. That the child was that holy thing, and as the Holy One He would perform miracles beyond the understanding of man. Even His disciples among themselves would ask the question, What manner of man is this? The boisterous winds were silenced by His word, the raging waves became as glass at His glance, and this holy thing shall be begotten of God. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. (Psalm 2:7) God the Father opened the heavens and pronounced to the world This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. The only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth came into the world in the fullness of time.

In Psalm 2, God had already projected everything concerning His Son through the prophetic word. That which was to come was already known and written by the prophets that had the Spirit of Christ within them, all projected by the determinate counsels and foreknowledge of God. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. After verse 7 of Psalm 2, we are taken by the chariots of God through the history of man to the final conclusion of that Holy One upon His throne with complete rule over the nations. We see in the very last verse of Psalm Chapter 2, those who have trusted in the holy thing, the holy child, the Holy One, the child that is born, and the Son that is given, and His name shall be Wonderful. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. In verse 8 of Psalm 2, we see that the rest of this psalm describes His inheritance to the heathen and the uttermost parts (plural) of the earth. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

After the Lord’s resurrection Christ proclaimed to His disciples that all power in heaven and earth has been given unto Him. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (Matthew 28:18) This part of His inheritance was given to Him before He created the worlds. Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds. (Hebrews 1:2) This inheritance includes ALL those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. His inheritance surrounds all those who have and will walk by faith. This includes in our day the Body of Christ, the Church for it is Christ who has all preeminence in His Church. He is the Author and Finisher of not only faith but belief in Him. He presents Himself as God’s Gift to us once offered in the fullness of time. The wonder of wonders, the only begotten Son of God.

Counsellor

Once Offered

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28)

In Hebrews Chapter 9, verse 28, God uses the words once offered. There was only ONE true Gift, and the Gift came in the fullness of time conceived by the Spirit of God to bring grace and truth into the world. Once offered not at the beginning or at the end of time, but in the FULLNESS of time because Christ fulfilled time as He was once offered. In Isaiah 9:6 the Almighty has a lot to say about His Son. His name is so vast that it cannot be contained by one name only. So, within this wonderful holy thing is ALL the counsels of God and we can bow down before Him as that Counselor and we can believe every word that proceeds out of His mouth for His words are Spirit and Life.

We can look into the glorious face of the Lord Jesus Christ and be completely confident in the words that He spoke, and that the words that He gave to His servants, His prophets, through His divine Spirit. He can counsel us with His word. He can counsel us with His holy life. He can counsel and comfort us with His Spirit of grace. And therefore, He is the True Complete and Righteous Counsellor.

The mighty God

Once Offered

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28)

He declares Himself as that child that was born, that Son that was given as the Gift of God that He is The mighty God, and there is no other. If you have seen the Son, you have seen the Father. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father? (John 14:9) And all in His wonderful manifestation in the flesh is directed and defined by the Holy Spirit of God. He stands on the pinnacle of deity as The mighty God. The mighty God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The God of life for He is not the God of the dead. I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. (Matthew 22:32) Over and over He tells us that He is the God of birth, the God of life, the God of salvation, the God of eternity, and the God of all creation. Before the first molecule was created the Lord Jesus looked into the darkness and spoke the worlds into existence. By His word the foundations of the earth were laid. By His word the planets were hung in space. By His word He filled the darkness with bright lights; all showing forth His mighty omnipotent power in the very creation that He spoke into existence.

The almighty God, God with us, Emmanuel, and thou shalt call his name JESUS. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21) Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23) And that name would become a name above every name that at the name of Jesus the whole world would be veiled in darkness, at the name of Jesus the sun would go dark, and the moon would have no light to cast over the earth until the Man Christ Jesus cried out, It is finished.

The mighty God had completed and finalized all that He had spoken through the prophets concerning His death. And as a child that is born, and as a Son is given, He said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit. From whence He came, from heaven’s glory by the Spirit of God, that holy thing returned into the Father’s bosom.

The everlasting Father

The Prince of Peace

Once Offered

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28)

In the next name we have eternity wrapped in The everlasting Father. Here we see that within the Father IS the Son, and in the Son IS the Father, the oneness and uniqueness of the Godhead bodily. The Bible gives us the horizon of the complete deity of the everlasting Father, and His Prince of peace. It’s interesting how the Holy Spirit puts these two names in succession for the Prince of peace came forth from the Father to make peace with God so that man could enjoy that peace by belief in the Son of God. He is not the nobleman of peace, but the Prince of peace. He came into the world to bring peace to man so that man could have peace with He who is Wonderful, so that man may abide the Counsellor of counselors, so that man may be under the veil of The mighty God. He spoke to Abraham in that very name, And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I [am] the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. (Genesis 17:1)

The everlasting Father sent His Prince of peace into the realm of the children of man in the vastness of His kingdom is this One who surrounds eternity. This One is Eternity and this One who will ever be Eternity for that which was written aforetime by the prophets has been fulfilled and is being fulfilled and is being fulfilled in those three words, It is finished. All celestial government and all terrestrial governments are all contained in His everlasting kingdom, and of that everlasting kingdom there will be no end. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:7)

The Son as The High Priest of God

Once Offered

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28)

Psalm 2, verse 7 presents so much to us, we have God the Father prophetically presenting to us the Royal Child that will be born. And the Son that would be given and the King upon His throne. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Prophetically the Spirit of Christ within David declared the Father’s wishes in the words the LORD hath said unto me. The words are in the first person as Christ is speaking of Himself. He referred to the words which He WILL hear from God the Father when the heavens are opened on the banks of the Jordan. In Psalm 2 we have the double witness of God the Father and God the Son concerning the Sonship of Jesus Christ. (Hebrews1:2)

Throughout the next 10 Chapters in the book of Psalms, we learn about man, the enemies of God, the faithfulness of God, the love of God, and the salvation of God. We learn of the worthlessness of man in Adam. And then after those ten Chapters God unfolds the divine beauty in the Lord Jesus Christ in Psalm 22. Unlike the glories of man, in Psalm 22 we behold the glories of Christs’ suffering for us once offered to bear the sins of many. We go from the birth in Psalm two (2) to the death of Christ in Psalm twenty-two (22).

In Psalm 22 we have the witness of the Father and the Son in the offering of Christ and the sacrifice of His soul. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. (Isaiah 53:10) So in Psalms 22 what do you do with the second 2. We have a double witness in 2, and we also have a double witness in God the Son and God the Spirit. Remember we are talking about the full manifestation of the Godhead on the earth. The first witness of God to His Son at the Jordan was God the Father and then God the Holy Spirit, and it was man who introduced the world to the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. Christ was the offering to be once offered and Christ was the Gift to be once given and Christ was the Salvation that would be once accomplished.

As you read through Psalm 22 all the sufferings of Christ present a glory to the heart of man that could not even be fulfilled on the holy mount, the mount of transfiguration. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6) He will appear unto them a second time unto salvation. What we know in part today will be fulfilled completely in His appearing. For as He IS the transcendent glory of God, He has told His own that they will be like Him.

For He was once offered to bear the sins of many. We have such a great cloud of witnesses, think of it, Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Moses and the prophets and lastly in the fullness of time God sent forth His Son made of a woman, made under the Law to fulfill the Law and to bring the pristine pure holy righteousness of God to man in the manifestation of God in the flesh. The invisible became the tangible. The invisible became the image of God, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.

In Hebrews Chapter 5 in four comparative verses, we not only have the birth of Christ as Son, but Christ being made higher than the heavens as the High Priest of God. As Son: So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. (Hebrews 5:5) Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered. (Hebrews 5:8) As the High Priest of God: As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (Hebrews 5:6) Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. (Hebrews 5:10) In verse 5 the Holy Spirit quotes Psalm 2 of the very day that Christ was begotten of the Father. In verse 6, the Spirit of God quotes Psalm 110 and reveals to us the eternal Priesthood of the Lord Jesus Christ after the order and oath of Melchisedec.

What we should see is the interwoven birth of Christ and His eternal Priesthood revealed in scripture in Hebrews 7:26, For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens. In verse 5 and 6 of Hebrews Chapter 5, we see the birth of the Son, but we also see His existent priesthood. This is confirmed in verse 7 of Hebrews Chapter 5, Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared. For it was in the days of His flesh as Melchisedec He offered up prayers and supplications as the High Priest in John Chapter 17. There He was making intercession as the High Priest not only for Himself, but for those who would be born out of His side with strong crying and tears. This Royal Kingly Priest (Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world John 18:37) prayed to God the Father in the garden of tears documented in the gospel of Luke, Chapter 22, verses 41 – 44.

And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, (Luke 22:41) Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. (Luke 22:42) And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. (Luke 22:43) And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. (Luke 22:44)

Side Note: Compare Psalm 22 with Luke 22 and then compare Christ’s priestly prayer in John 17 with Psalm 17. ♦ End of Side Note: Compare.

Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death and was heard in that he feared. (Hebrews 5:7) Again, to reaffirm, to make it solid, and complete, the Holy Spirit reminds us again in Chapter 5 of Hebrews, verse 10. Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec that it was in the days of his flesh. Have you ever noticed that verse 10 preceded verse 11 of Hebrews 5 for a particular purpose? Why? Because it is about the high priest after the order of Melchisedec. And many are still dull of hearing today concerning that the Lord Jesus Christ WAS and IS Melchisedec. Shame on us, that we, who have the Spirit of Christ, are dull of hearing. Under the Levitical priesthood, the high priest had no possessions, the only possessions that he had was what made him the high priest. Christ received His inheritance by the very fulfillment of His heavenly work upon the cross in the fullness of time. If we would pay attention to the words of the Spirit of God in Colossians Chapter 3, verses 1-4.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. (Colossians 3:1) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. (Colossians 3:2) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. (Colossians 3:3) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3:4)

We would have more spiritual insight into the word of God if every wind of false doctrine would not carry us away for, we would not be dull of hearing. Chapter 5 of the book of Hebrews closes with the Spirit of God beseeching us in strong language to put away the baby food and search the Holy Scriptures for the meat and the tangible glories of the Person of Christ.

So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. (Hebrews 5:5) As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (Hebrews 5:6) We have received these words from the Spirit of God. All divine truth lies within the pages of the divine word of God. All strength of salvation comes from within the words presented to the sincere heart by the Spirit of God. Don’t let other people: men, children, adults, preachers, priest or organizations tell you about the word of God. Seek the truth for yourself in the pages of God’s holy word illuminated by the Spirit of grace which is the Spirit of Christ.

The Godhead Bodily

Once Offered

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:29)

The manifest image of the invisible God was standing before them, they had heard His words of grace, they have seen the miracles of His deity, and they had seen His endless tireless works upon the sons of man, and yet, they could not comprehend the fullness of the Godhead bodily among them. If they had seen the Son, they also had seen the Father. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? (John 14:9) In Chapter 4 of the gospel of John, the Lord Jesus links God the Father with God the Holy Spirit, listen closely to the very words of the Lord Jesus in John 4:23 and 24. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (John 4:23) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24) It is God the Son speaking, and He ties the Spirit of God to God the Father. In both Chapter 4 and Chapter 14 of the gospel we have the Son of God testifying of the fullness of the Godhead bodily. The Son and the Father are ONE, as the Father and Spirit are ONE: these three uniquely FILL the Godhead, and as Christ was manifested in the image of the invisible God, and the fullness of the Godhead bodily He was the manifestation of the Son, of the Father, and of the Holy Spirit.

In Psalm 22, in the sufferings of Christ, we have the witness of God the Son, God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit to all the invisible sufferings of Christ that took place on the cross of Calvary. Also consider the ten chapters from Psalm 2 to Psalm 22 as the ten stones of the Law revealed through these ten chapters. As I have said before: we will see the failure of mankind, we will see the enemies of God, and we will see the final result of the counsels of God in His great salvation. We will see what is man, and we will behold the Son of man, the Gift of God, that holy thing, the Holy One in Psalm 22. The ten chapters between Psalm 2 and Psalm 22 are all a profound teaching moment of the Holy Spirit of God before we come to the sufferings of our Savior. God has put it in such a format that by the time that we get to Psalm 22, we get there with a broken and contrite heart before God as He presents the suffering of our Savior to us in Psalm 22.

To Fulfill God’s Righteousness

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28)

In the New Testament in John 6:63 the Lord Jesus tells us that the words that He speaks are spirit and life. Now the prophets of old, according to Peter, had the Spirit of Christ within them. It was the voice of Christ speaking through the Spirit of Christ the words of Spirit and life. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. (John 6:63) Now once in the end of the world, Christ offered Himself ONCE to fulfill ALL that the prophets had written about Him: To complete the will of His Father, to fulfill the total Law, and therefore fulfill ALL righteousness upon the earth. This takes us back to Isaiah 9:6. The child that is born is the manifestation of the complete Godhead on earth. The Son that is given to us is the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14) The Son is that holy child. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, (Acts 4:27) By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. (Acts 4:30) As a young child, He sat in the Temple hearing and TEACHING and they who heard Him were in wonderment at the knowledge that this young child had. This was truly the Son that had the name that was Wonderful. (Isaiah 9:6) And that name would be completed in the name that is above every name, the name of the Lord Jesus.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: (Philippines 2:9) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; (Philippines 2:10) And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippines 2:11)

The Spirit of Grace

Once Offered

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28)

His name is highly exalted to the glory of the Father. In John 17 the Lord Jesus uniquely presents to us the fullness of the Godhead bodily in the glory that He had with the Father before the world was. And in Hebrews Chapter 10:29 we see the inner most thoughts of the Godhead concerning the worth and the wonder of the Person of Christ and His shed blood at Calvary. Notice this verse ends with the Spirit of grace. Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? Just a few points from this verse: those who have rejected the Spirit of grace have trodden underfoot the Son of God, the beloved Son of the Father that has pleased the Father in every way. God the Father has exalted Him higher than the heavens, and yet man treads upon the Son of God in man’s evil works and unrepentant heart when Christ was ONCE OFFERED for the sins of many. Those of unbelief have counted the blood of the holy covenant between the Son and the Father and the Holy Spirit an unholy thing.

I want you to see in the two words unholy thing the reverse of this in Luke’s gospel, Chapter 1, verse 35, in that holy thing. And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. In the New Testament, in Luke’s gospel holy thing is only mentioned once. It is in the Seed of the Lord Jesus Christ within Mary’s womb that is that holy thing conceived of the Holy Ghost, so in Hebrews 10:29, we have the only time in the entire Bible the phrase unholy thing is mentioned. The Spirit of God wants us to see the direct relationship with unholy thing to that precious holy thing of God in Mary’s womb. And remember the Lord Jesus was conceived of the Holy Ghost so that the last few words in Hebrews 10:29 become most profound in the mind and in the heart of those who belong to the Lord Jesus Christ and are born of the Spirit of grace . . . . an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Since the Lord Jesus suffered on the cross, and even as He was suffering on the cross, the world has continued to tread upon His holy and righteous name and Person. They have mocked His blood of the covenant that was between Himself and God the Father, and the Spirit of grace. He was sanctified before all men through His work upon the cross of Calvary. It was THERE upon the cross that He cast away sin and overcame death and the works of the devil. It was THERE that He was the most Wonderful, the complete Counsellor, the complete power of The mighty God, the love of the everlasting Father, and brought PEACE to the earth as The Prince of peace. Isaiah 9:6 is magnified by Philippians 2:9-11 that the name that is ABOVE every name has been exalted higher than the heavens to the glory of God the Father with that same glory which Christ had with the Father BEFORE the world was. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens. (Hebrews 7:26)

The Justifier

Once Offered

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28)

In Hebrews Chapter 9, verse 28, Christ was once offered and this is a reminder to us of Hebrews 9:27. God the Holy Spirit has just finished telling us that each one of us has an appointment with death, and that after that, the judgment. This is a gloomy thought for the lost souls of this world. However, in verse 28, out of the dark clouds of death and judgment comes the Son of righteousness shining in His fullness with healing in His wings. As the Holy Spirit reminds us that Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many. Peter reminds us of this in 1st Peter 2:24, Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Again, as in Hebrews 9:28, we see the words bear the sins of, and here in 1st Peter it is bare our sins. He took upon Himself, in the sinless divine Body in the flesh, the sins of many, our sins, and the sins of the whole world. Here He fulfills ALL of God’s righteousness. For God to be just, and a justifier of many, He had to take away the sin of the whole world. The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (John 1:29) Sin has a two-part nature. Sin in itself came INTO the world through Adam and remained IN Adam. The works of transgression against God become SINS in all manners of evil directions. Man comes INTO the world with the sin of Adam within. He becomes a sinner in the sins that he commits. Christ not only covered the transgressions of man, or sins, with His precious blood, but He took SIN OUT of the world by nailing it to His cross so that man, one day, would stand justified before God in belief in the Lord Jesus Christ, or stand before God in His GUILT by not receiving the Spirit of grace through the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ and by continually treading underfoot the Son of God, verbally and in actions denying the blood of the everlasting covenant. Thus, doing despite to the Spirit of grace by denying that holy thing, the holy child, and the Holy One. God had to make grace available to all of mankind, this had to be His righteous position in His judgment against man. What would the love of God for the whole world be if it was ONLY just for a select few? For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) Although God knew what was written in His book of life, He was well aware of the history of mankind in His foreknowledge that NOT ALL would come. The Old Testament presents to us the children of faith and the children of unbelief.

God had to make grace available to all of mankind, this had to be His righteous position in His judgment against man.

The parable of the sower in the gospel of Matthew and Luke shows us all the variance of the seeds and types of ground that received the seeds. So that the many and  the sins of many in Hebrews 9:28 are the seeds on fertile ground. However, all the other types of ground received the same seed but produced no fruit for God. Those who come through the cross, and are crucified with Christ, are the many who wait and will love to see His appearing even unto salvation without sin. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 tells our whole story. It was the weight of my sin and sins that was placed upon Him. Therefore, as one of the redeemed of God, I was crucified with Christ. But, my beloved, the Son of righteousness with healing in His wings whose arms spread out upon the cross embraced the sin of the whole world, crying out, Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28) Six times in the gospels the Lord said Come unto me. Six is the number of man, therefore, on the cross we see Him embracing ALL of mankind (with outstretched arms) to fulfill the righteousness of God. The very judgment and chastisement of our sin was upon the Son, the Holy One of God.

God the Father watched in agony as His beloved Son suffered for sin knowing that His judgment had to be JUST in order to justify those who believe and condemn those of unbelief. So, we who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ enter INTO God’s rest because of our belief IN His righteous and holy Son, that whosoever, the many, would come to Him would be saved. Thus, the Judge at the great white throne could be JUST in pronouncing judgment based on the payment that was made for ALL. Those of unbelief who refuse to believe in Jesus Christ but tread upon the Son of God and do despite to the Spirit of grace justly face condemnation.

As Abraham, we repeat these words, Shall not the Judge of the whole earth do right? That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? (Genesis 18:25) When we roll back the scroll of time to the days of Abraham, we have the same question that many ask God today. Remember that this was not only a question asked of a holy and righteous God, but it was also a statement . . . . Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? God has much more knowledge of Sodom then Abraham had, for God came down specifically to look into the borders of the cities of the plains of Jordan. He even specifically informs us that the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners exceedingly. But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. (Genesis 13:13) And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous. (Genesis 18:20) And compare the wickedness of Sodom with the wickedness of the antediluvians in Genesis 6:5. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5) In verse 6 of Genesis 6, the Lord looked over man and He was troubled, in fact, He was grieved in His own heart that He had made man on earth. So after, the judgment of the flood, when we get to the days of Abraham, we should see that the sins of the wicked men of Sodom grieved God’s heart. There was nothing within Sodom that had originated with Sodom that was righteous. Remember that righteous Lot had separated himself from Abraham, and then he dwelt in the well-watered plains of Jordan, and then he drifted into the grasp of Sodom, so that there was only one man who was righteous in Sodom.

And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; (2nd Peter 2:6)

And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (2nd Peter 2:7)

(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) (2nd Peter 2:8)

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: (2nd Peter 2:9)

As in Genesis Chapter 6:5, the sin of Sodom grieved God’s heart. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the only one who was righteous was one who came outside of Sodom to dwell in Sodom. Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? The answer to the question by Abraham, is out there, you just have to let it in. God judged Sodom completely based on there was NOTHING in Sodom of Sodom that was righteous. The righteous one who was there living in and among Sodom was in disobedience, yet Lot was led out by a holy and righteous God. In the epistle of Peter, we see the difference between the righteous and ungodly sinners. Could God justify Himself by allowing the wickedness of Sodom and the cities of the plains of Jordan to continue in their wickedness? We see the loving grace of God by leading righteous Lot out of Sodom, and under grace and mercy God allowed Lot’s unrighteous family to escape with him. However, the heart of Lot’s wife stayed in Sodom. Although her footprints led away from Sodom, her heart remained in Sodom, But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. (Genesis 19:26) She was turned into a pillar of salt to be a witness of the what the ungodly sinners in Sodom became. Lot’s daughters and wife were similar to the sons of the Noah. (For after they came through the flood, they had another chance to stand before God and be justified. In the case of the sons of Noah, we end up with Nimrod, and Babel, and the world wholly given over to idolatry and to the wickedness of man’s heart. God had told Noah and his sons that Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. (Genesis 9:6) This is the only commandment written to Noah and to his sons. And yet, Nimrod, Noah’s great grandson was a mighty hunter and God saw his hunting, as Cain, for Nimrod shed the blood of man.) Although Lot’s daughters were not righteous in the sight of God, God spared them from the doom of Sodom. How did that turn out? They caused their father to commit a grievous sin before the Lord, not once, but twice that resulted in the tribes of Moab and Ammon; they were the ambassadors of unrighteousness and a continual antagonistic foe against the nation of Israel.

Once Offered

To Bear the Sins of Many

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28)

So, Christ was once offered in the fullness of time. It was the Almighty who had set the time in the sphere of the history of mankind. It was given man to count the days and what is in those days to reflect on the present and the past life of the children of Adam. Within Adam and mankind there was no hope, no atonement, and no salvation. Salvation must be of God and God must supply the offering. He did this in the birth, the life and in the death of His beloved Son. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many.

All the Old Testament sacrifices as we have seen in Hebrews Chapter 9 were not adequate to take away the sins of the world or to justify Adam in his sin. The last two verses in Hebrews Chapter 9 covers a lot of time. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27) So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28)

In verse 27 we have the time of Adam to the present; we also have the time period of each and every person who is born of the seed of Adam. They have an appointment in time to die. This is the way of all flesh. In the very day that our first two parents partook of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil they made that appointment Thou shalt surely die. Adam KNEW the consequences of his transgression which caused his own death, and the death of all of mankind after him. In Romans 5:12, it is by one man that sin came into the world, it is also by one sin Adam made an appointment with death. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Adam listened to two witnesses of evil: Satan and Eve. Closely read the sequence of sin coming into the world, and death by sin in Romans 5:12.

Now Lucifer was the anointing covering Cherub, Ezekiel 28, and Isaiah 14. It is this cherub, the highest in the sphere of angels who brought sin into heaven, and sin and Lucifer were cast out of heaven to the ground, to the sphere of the earth. Isaiah 14:12, How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! The anointed cherub was then the menace of the earth. Consider how high and lofty this cherub was, and then after sin, was found on the ground as a slithering serpent full of all guile, a subversive serpent full of all deceit and lies. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:44) Lucifer is the father of lies as the serpent upon the earth, it was Lucifer who conceived the first lie on earth, therefore, becoming the father of the first and greatest lie, ye shall be as gods. He was transformed from an angel of beauty to a despised serpent, the lowest of God’s creation on the earth. This serpent slithers through the entire world today hiding in the shadows, under the rocks, in the thorny bushes, and wherever he can find darkness only revealing himself as he strikes to inject his venom into man. When he was cast out of heaven, do you think that once glorious cherub was happy when sin and iniquity was judged because of his merchandising and wicked thoughts of overthrowing God? He became angry because of his new position as the lowest of God’s creation. He went from the highest of his heavenly creation to the lowest of all and would remain in that position through man’s history. Revelation 12:9, And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Do you see that through the history of mankind to the end of the book of the Revelation that the devil retains his nature as a serpent full of all cunning and guile. He is the deceiver of man. He is the betrayer of man. He is the destroyer of man, and in all his deception, he hides in the shadow of his own darkness and his own demonic kingdom. We see this played out in the kingdom of the Beast in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Where that serpent, that old serpent, the Devil gives to the Beast (man) both his seat and his throne, and all the power of the serpent will be unleashed upon the kingdoms of man.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. (Revelation 13:2)

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. (Revelation 13:3)

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? (Revelation 13:4)

Just think of the serpent’s influence on man through man’s history. It begins with these words, ye shall be as gods. And this overthrew ALL of mankind. The first lie upon man was the lie of the devil, and ever since, man has desired to reign supreme over his fellow man, and to kick God out of the world and grab it with the greedy hands of man for themselves. As Adam brought sin and death into the world, the very seed of the serpent, the child of the wicked one, Cain, became the first murderer when he murdered his brother Abel. We know that Cain was of the wicked one, we know that Cain was the seed of the serpent because the Holy Spirit confirms this in 1st John 3:12, Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous. Now let’s back up to verse 8 of 1st John 3, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. What do we see in verse 8? We see the genealogy of the children of the serpent, the devil. He who commits sin is of the devil, so Adam was of the devil. And don’t forget Eve was the first transgressor. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. (1st Timothy 2:14) Now look at what we have at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in Genesis Chapter 3. We have three transgressors: the serpent, Adam, and Eve. What do they all have in common? Sin. They had all sinned before the Almighty God and come short of the glory of God. Now sin could not be taken out of them neither removed from Lucifer, Adam, and Eve for sin was found in all three. Their futures were sealed to be cast into the lake of fire.

The devil sealed his fate in Ezekiel 28 when sin and iniquity was found in him. One must understand that there is a biblical hell, and this biblical hell is a place of torment. It is also a place of holding. One would say that nothing could be worse than hell and yet there is the second death, when death and hell are delivered up and along with the false prophet, the beast and Satan and all the ungodly are cast into the lake of fire. The Lord is specific for He tells us that there will be continual wailing and gnashing of teeth. They will suffer the pain of their own sin because of Adam and Eve and the devil, man will find himself in the lake of fire because he rejected the Christ of God.

Right from the beginning of sin Adam’s vision became darkened: having eyes to see he could see not. His ears were stopped by the temptations of Satan, having ears to hear he could not hear. This gave to man a great darkness, and how great was that darkness? Man now loved darkness and hated the light. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (John 3:19) For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. (John 3:20)

Let’s expand on the darkness of the wicked one. Man not only loves darkness but he has an enmity and hatred in his heart against the light, which is the Light of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ. Man loves the works of Satan. Look around, look at any city on the face of the earth, and you will find places of the lowest forms of degraded humanity and the vileness of the most wicked sins and works of Satan. It is so bad in our modern age that destitute men and women sit on city streets and shoot poison into their veins so that they do not have to face the reality of humanity anymore. They have been completely duped by Satan as he herds them to his slaughterhouse where they will forfeit their lives and suffer the fires of hell waiting till hell and death are delivered into the lake of fire. Mankind LOVES darkness. They hate the Light of God in Jesus Christ. Man hides himself in the darkness of sin. He does not want to approach the light because the light exposes sin. The light is so bright in Jesus Christ that darkness cannot abide that light. Christ’s righteousness is so bright that when He communed with the two on the Emmaus Road and expounded the scriptures concerning himself from Moses and the prophets and the psalms, their hearts burned within them. The fires of God’s truth opened their eyes so that they could see the omnipotent One God Almighty in their presence.

In the very beginning of the book of Genesis, we have the battle of God against the darkness. The first words of creation that we receive from the mouth of God is creating the Light and dividing that Light from the darkness. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:2) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. (Genesis 1:3) God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. (Genesis 1:4) Since that first sound from the voice of God He has been dividing the darkness from the Light ever since. This was the darkness that was on the face of the deep. God gave His Light into a world of darkness. The Lord Jesus in John Chapter 9 made the claim that He IS that very Light. He IS the Light of the world. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. (John 9:5)

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:5)

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. (John 1:9)

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (John 3:19)

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12)

Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. (John 12:35) While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them. (John 12:36)

And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. (John 12:45) I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. (John 12:46)

When God said Let there be light, He referred to that Light as being good. God saw the light, that it was good . . . and there is none good but God, thus, we see the fullness of that goodness in the Light of the world and in the good Shepherd. The Light divided the darkness, and the Light had the preeminence over the darkness, for God said that the Light was good, but did not express that same feeling for the darkness.

The last kingdom of man recorded in the book of the Revelation before the coming of Christ is the kingdom of the serpent, the beast, and the false prophet. This is the devil’s last kingdom and Christ comes to destroy the evil empire of darkness which is the kingdom of the beast. God gives us this record of mankind in the end of time, for man has transformed himself by sin from the image of God in Genesis to a beast in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, (Revelation 16:10) And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. (Revelation 16:11)

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many. As the darkness was so great how great is the Light that is the Gift of God for in Christ there is NO darkness at all. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. (1st John 1:5) The message that His disciples had heard of Him is that the Lord Jesus Himself was the Light of the world. So that IN Him there would be no darkness. Notice that if we have the Spirit of Christ within then that Light is passed within us, we are possessors of His Light.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1st John 1:7)

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. (Matthew 5:14) Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. (Matthew 5:15) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

and unto them that look for him

shall he appear the second time

without sin unto salvation

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28)

We as the redeemed, the possessors of the Spirit of Christ within, reflect His Light into the world. There is no silent majority in the Body of Christ. Everyone has a voice to herald the glory, the majesty, and the wonder of their beloved Savior. The Lord Jesus bestows upon His children gifts of all kinds to bestow His Light into a dark world.

He was once offered to bear the sins of many. And unto them who look for Him, the heart that cries Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The Holy Spirit has instilled this hope and desire within us through the manifestation of our faith in Jesus Christ to see Him as He is and to be like Him. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1st John 3:2) We will see the fullness of His radiant glory and we will join the throng around the emerald throne.

In Romans Chapter 8, God takes us from the Law of Sin and Death into the glorious liberty of the sons of God by the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2) It is Romans 8:2 that puts power and authority into Romans 8:1, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1 is created by the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. It is the result of our transformation being removed as a child of Adam and created anew in the Spirit of Life which is in Christ Jesus. When Christ shall appear, we shall be like Him, even now, our heavenly Father sees us in His Son at His right hand. Although now we see through a glass darkly, but when the Lord Jesus appears for the second time, we shall see Him as He is. However, even now, God sees His children in the Person of His Son.

The Almighty knows the beginning from the end, and the end from the beginning. Abel’s faith is just as real today before the Almighty as the day that Abel offered that first sacrifice through faith . . . . Faith which is in Christ Jesus. He sees our faith and the measure of this faith today, and this faith gives us a standing before God. As Abel obeyed the Almighty all those of faith will be counted as the sons of God.

In Hebrews Chapter 12 God the Father surrounds us with His house, we are a family within this house, and we are His children, and He directs us and chastens us and instructs us in the very work of holiness and faith. In Hebrews Chapter 12 we have a heavenly loving Father not only correcting His children but watching over them. Consider these verses from Hebrews Chapter 12 that apply to the children of faith.

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: (Hebrews 12:5)

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? (Hebrews 12:7) But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. (Hebrews 12:8)

Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless, afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. (Hebrews 12:11)

We see the loving hand of God the Father who spared not His own Son but laid on Him the iniquity of us all. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:6) As we stand before God in Christ Jesus, we are the spirits of just men made perfect in Him before God. We are to put away sin to the purifying of the Spirit and walk upright before God. Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many. However, the statement in John Chapter 1, verse 29 seems to question this verse of Hebrews 9:28, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. No not hardly . . . oh dear a double negative. (My wife just smiled.) Well let’s push on. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. In verse 27, we have death and judgment. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. In verse 28, we are past that death and judgment. We are reminded by the Spirit of grace that Christ WILL appear a second time, and there will be an absence of sin, only His salvation that He has given to us through His suffering and death on the cross of Calvary. We will enter into a world or sphere without sin as we are already justified in His death, and we are among the many of the redeemed. We should remember that the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ like the Light is a separation from darkness, God saves us to separate us so that we are no longer children of this world.

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. In Hebrews 9:28 we also have the completion of our journey to be with Him. He will appear a second time and this is where we will celebrate our glorious liberty as the sons of God in Jesus Christ. Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. (Romans 8:21) When He appears the second time unto salvation, I would think that this would go with Colossians Chapter 3, that this would be the conclusion of our salvation in Him. When Christ who is our life shall appear then we will appear with Him in glory.

What we have reaped in Chapter 9 in Hebrews is just the tip of the iceberg. There is much more of the Spirit’s voice within these verses. This is a marvelous Chapter that God has given to the children of God. Keep digging. The diamonds are right under the surface and remember that freely ye have received, freely give. Pass the word of God to one poor struggling seaman that Christ may bring peace to the storm and bring him safely through the storm. I will close in the love of God without end. His servant.

Amen and amen.
