1 – Preface

PREFACE

These studies were originally given as messages in radio broadcasts called “God’s Final Call. The purpose of these messages were two fold: (1) to aid the Christian in seeing Christ in the tabernacle from the Old Testament; and (2) to present the Gospel of Christ to listeners in a simplified manner.

The fact that they were given to a possibly changing audience accounts for the occasional necessity of repetition in certain areas. The desire of the broadcaster was to make the radio messages and this book as simple and understandable as possible — so that the listener and the reader would be encouraged to search the Scriptures and learn more of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The tabernacle was not only a place to meet with God, but it was also a place to show forth the glory of God, the glory of heaven, and the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was an expression to Israel of all God’s Glory; Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

The Lord Jesus said — “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” John 5:39

“For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.” John 5:46

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.” Luke 24:25, 26, 27

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which was written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.” Luke 24: 44, 45

Paul wrote — For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4

Paul wrote to Timothy — All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.: 2 Timothy 3:16

There may be some who need to be reminded that Moses wrote the first five books of the Old Testament: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. From within these books, there are approximately 35 chapters devoted directly to the tabernacle and more chapters concerning the tabernacle indirectly. Therefore, the following messages were given to reveal Christ in the tabernacle.

“And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures concerning himself.” Luke 24: 24, 26, 27

“And he said unto them, These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.” Luke 24: 44, 45
