Psalm 119
I Am Not Ashamed
(Psalm 119:6)
ALEPH
Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments. (Psalm 119:6)
So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. (Romans 1:15)
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:15)
And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. (1 John 2:28)
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. (1 John 2:29)
For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. (Job 22:26)
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (1 John 3:1)
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1 John 3:2)
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. (1 John 3:3)
The world does not know what jewels are living among them. These are the crown jewels of the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, the Lord Jesus Christ. He has set His diamonds in a dark place surrounded by coldness and blackness to give His light and life to the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. (John 1) Therefore, in turn, the world knows not the heavenly people. We are a testimony of light in the darkness around us, and yet, the darkness comprehends not the light. As Christ was rejected of men, so the reflection of Christ through us is also rejected. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (1 John 3:1) The position of the child of God outranks Adam, and his descendants. Adam was given a dominion, but his dominion was limited to the earth. We have been given something far greater for we are placed within the Ruler and Creator of all things. Adam could never hold this position. Adam could never say of himself that Christ liveth in me. And Adam, through sin, surrendered the very image of God. Who could conceive a people born of the Spirit of God who will one day judge angels and nations in their glorified state. How could a people who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb, the Creator of all things, be ashamed of that glorious truth? Can any other people declare such a birth right as we the bride of Christ? And through this as the world knew not our Savior, the world knows us not. And still today the majority of the masses of the world know Him not. We have become the possession of Christ. We are possessed by a heavenly Man, and the world cannot understand the reality of being in Christ Jesus. This cannot register with the heart and mind of Adam. For Adam (man) is still in bondage to the sin of the world. Adam’s world, the world around you, is in slavery to sin and death. You read it in their eyes, and in the sadness of their faces. You see it in their lives, and in the tragedies of life. Adam is a great self inflictor of his own wounds through sin. The only freedom that man can obtain is being divinely separated from Adam, and the world of Adam. The world of sin and death must be cast off by a divine decree of the Spirit of God, Thou shall be saved. This decree removes the world of Adam to another world that is not of flesh and blood. For flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. One must become a heavenly person among heavenly people, a spiritual people that have been translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son, and they must come through the One who gave His life on Calvary’s cross, the Lord Jesus Christ. This new creation is separated by God, and for God in Christ Jesus. There is no shame for He has cleansed us and clothed us with His blood and His righteousness. We are possessors of heavenly righteousness which the world cannot understand. We have been given the Spirit of Christ not to magnify ourselves, but to magnify Him through us.
He has given the voice of His Spirit within the very elect, a people not of this world, a people who are a complete new generation of Jesus Christ. The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. (Matthew 1:1) This is His generation, the new generation of Jesus Christ, not of David, and not of Abraham, but of the seed of Jesus Christ. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. (Galatians 3:16) The Lord Jesus came as the holy seed, the holy thing placed within Mary’s womb by the Spirit of God. The holy of holies came upon Mary in the fullness of time to give us a divine Man from heaven and not of this earth. Adam could not ascend into the heavenlies, nor was Adam a heavenly man; with all understanding it took a heavenly Man to bring forth a heavenly people to separate a people for Himself who would be with Him throughout all eternity, a heavenly people who are not of the earth, therefore, as He walked on this earth as a witness both for heaven and of heaven we (the ambassadors of Christ) witness of a better country, a heavenly country with one Ruler, one Sovereign, one King with complete rule in His righteousness, the Lord Jesus Christ. And this eternal realm is defined by His eternal love. In the confines of a new people, a peculiar people, we are under God’s rule and God’s sovereignty; there is no other rule, there is no vote, there is no democracy, there is no republic, there is no other potentate. There is only one King with supreme and holy rule.
Rule
The rule of man on earth is an illusion of man for God has claimed the world for Himself in Psalm 24:1. <<A Psalm of David.>> The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. God has allowed the illusion of man’s rule because of the sin of Adam to prove to mankind that no matter what kind of government that he has eventually all types of government of men go down in the flame of sin. Whether a democracy or a republic there is no exception for it is still under Adam, and still carries the weight of Adam’s sin. From the days of Cain man has demanded rule over his fellow man, and if man does not conform to man’s authority then Cain kills Abel. No matter what rule you are under the corruption of sin in Adam eventually becomes the focal point of that rule for sin is like the worm that dieth not and it eats continually to show the sin and degradation of mankind. It would be a mistake of the mind and heart to think that a sinner opposed to God could rule in righteousness, or a group of sinners could rule in righteousness. Any government (upon planet Earth) only has a value when that government’s relationship is with God and then with its people. A government without God is a government of Adam and Cain both sin and flesh.
What has happened since the foundation of the Republic of the United States has many highs and many lows. There has been good and there has also been evil, and we are in one of those swings where one group has completely cast off God and the other group is embracing God. Although we do not know all the particulars, for God still rules in the kingdoms of men, however, this battle is very real and it will determine the fate of this nation. Those who are evil have already used their strong arm in the power of life and death with abortion. They are guilty and they have brought their government into this guilt. And the God of heaven and earth is keeping a complete record, and individually they will be accountable. The sadness of this is because of these evil people the whole nation will be accountable as well. Democracy and a Republic sounds good in Adam’s ears until evil takes the foundation of it away, and replaces it with socialism and communism which in both cases hates the Almighty God. People need rule. If man has no rule then there is chaos and anarchy, however, in our present state, we have rules that are not effective and we have laws that are not being upheld. We have over the past 40 years erased a righteous system of judicial order and replaced it with anarchy and the rebellion of socialism and communism. This is a tide that has to be turned today, not tomorrow, not next week, but today. And it is up to the people of God to pray with all diligence, and with all their hearts so that God will hear their voices and will turn this calamity and bring its destruction upon its own base of socialism and communism.
Adam cannot give us the perfection of rule. And we shouldn’t expect Adam to be a just ruler, however, we can pray for God’s intervention that He will call out those who honor truth and righteousness to rule in the governments of men. We live in an evil world and don’t think that it is going to change with time. For the Bible shows us a sad demise in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Remember, it is this world today that still rejects God’s dear Son, Jesus Christ, and it is foretold that when Christ comes He will destroy the nations of this world, and that includes democracies, and republics.
Truth Versus Lies (the new truth)
Now the gospel that I am not ashamed of leads one out of this world. It is the gospel of the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a divine gospel, and it will accomplish exactly what God has sent it to do. For it has been sent by Him, and for Him that He might be the Redeemer of man. And those who are redeemed are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. They are not ashamed of the Man in heaven, and they are not ashamed to follow Him whatever the cost. When Adam and Eve were beguiled by Satan, they believed the lie of the devil, and therefore sin came into the world, and man turned from the truth and became a perpetual liar. Truly faith in God in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to know the truth for the truth is in Jesus. This the world at large knows nothing about pure truth.
We are living in the end of the time period of grace, and the devil has increased his lie through the lies of men. In many circles lying is not only common place, but it is even expected, and encouraged, in fact, they have competitions on who can come up with the biggest lie. The most popular competitors are the engineers of news distribution. Just think if we did not have the word of God. Man cannot even tell the truth about himself that he is a sinner under condemnation of God, and he is on trial by God, and will be condemned at the judgment seat of God. Man’s only escape is through the Lord Jesus Christ who is all truth. We have been witnessing in our society not only in the United States, but throughout the world a massive attack of Satan and his satanic representatives against the Almighty God. This is nothing new, however, Satan has turned up the heat because he knows that he is in his last days. His attack against the Word of God is the same as it was at the beginning: to deny the truth of God, to deny God as the Sovereign and Creator of all things. Anyone can say that they believe the word of God, however, if that belief is not embedded by faith then that belief is merely man’s belief and not spiritual belief. If a person questions what God has given of Himself in His Word by His Word, and for His Word including the Living Word (Jesus Christ) then there is no understanding of faith in Christ. There is no power in heaven or earth that will change one jot or one tittle of the Word of God. I put before you this question, it involves the supernatural, God put forth His Word letter by letter, sound upon sound, precept upon precept, line upon line, phrase upon phrase into Jeremiah’s mouth. (Jeremiah 1) Tell me, has anything changed with God? Is He not still Sovereign? Is He not still the Creator of all things? What has changed in the power and the will of the Almighty Creator of all things? Nothing. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, therefore, His Word is the same yesterday, today, and forever. There is no amount of unbelief that can change that. There is no lie, or big lie, that can change that. His Word is settled in heaven. The Lord Jesus declared that heaven and earth would pass away, but His Word would endure forever.
The blind cannot see, and the deaf cannot hear: this is man in Adam. Only through the miracle of God’s grace, and the supernatural power of God can the eyes of the soul of man be opened, and the ears of his soul be unstopped so that man may believe the truth that is in Jesus. We have a term today called ‘intellectual theft.’ Now with all reason let us apply this to the Word of God. I always have a problem when my Bible is called a translation, or a version, for that means that this is one of many. This cannot be. Would the Spirit of God give us many roads to salvation? The Lord Himself proclaimed that He was the way, the truth, and the life. Should He change this phrase, should he have included many ways? This would be man’s way, and man has performed his work well. For the whole world lies totally in confusion concerning the Person of Almighty God. God is not only Sovereign in will, but Sovereign in deed. He is able to keep His Word unscathed by man, and by the devil. If I advocate the KJB, the King James Bible, I am only giving it a name to identify the true Word of God, and if I do so then the translators of the fantastical translations chide me and say that I belong to the KJV cult. Where is Christianity in that? However, if I advocate one of their translations the Revised Edition (revised from what?) Or the American Standard Version, standard of what? Truly not the standard of America! Or we could go to the dead bible, commonly called the Living Bible. Well, faith answers to faith, and if you would like to leave this site now you are welcomed to. I hold in my hand the unaltered uncorrected Word of God. I believe it with all my heart, and I believe it because the Spirit of God within me has told me this is the one. I need no other proof, I do not need languages to persuade me or the Dead Sea Scrolls to authenticate words. I do not need man scientific findings. I do not need the philosophies of man. For faith comes from Christ Jesus, and Christ Jesus gives man faith for the truth is in the Lord Jesus Himself. So I will not be in their fold, they do not want me, and I surely do not want them. Liberalism is not only a disease of the political world, it has also permeated the religious world, and this is to their own destruction. Those who are in their fold are waiting for the butcher and not the shepherd of the sheep.
God’s Word Not Limited or Controlled
With the Word of God that I have in my hand I see no copyright. I see no limitation of its use except by the power and through the power of the Holy Spirit. This Word of God that I hold in my hand is open for all people. They can freely print it without permission, and without cost. This alone should send a signal to the soul of faith who has the Spirit of Christ. Then we have the continuity of the Word of God that I hold in my hand. From in the beginning to the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Word does not change. It ministers to the need of man, and the solution of God: salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. It uses complimentary words, and uses a complimentary language given in a particular age of history so that it might uniquely bind God’s thoughts together so that man may understand and believe. We have complimentary phrases that set a theme through the entire Word of God. These connecting complimentary phrases not only lead the soul to redemption, but they also strengthen the soldier of faith in Jesus Christ.
We have themes beginning at Genesis that travel through the entire Word of God. These themes are unbreakable. We also have the anointing of the Lord Himself that His Word shall never pass away. I could write a book on the inspiration of Scripture, and this is how I would title it: God’s Word Written by God, Kept by God, Absolutely No Variance or Shadow of Turning. In all this there has to be one fact, one has to have divine faith. Faith must be implanted by Christ in the soul, the spirit, and in the heart. It must be an act of the Spirit of God wooing the soul to repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Before one can see, before one can hear, there has to be a wooing of the Spirit of God. Some of the questions that your soul asks of you are, Who am I, what am I doing, where have I been, and what am I guilty of? Then the Spirit of God answers your questions, You are a sinner because of Adams sin that he brought into the world. And you have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. You have traveled through a world of evil, and most likely have done evil yourself. You have lied, you have cheated, you have done things that you dare not mention. And the Spirit of God shows you the heavy guilt and the burden that you were under. This might take place in a moment of time. It might be a rushing feeling in your heart, in your soul, and in your spirit. It could be that all you can say is What must I do to be saved? And the Spirit of God takes you by the hand of faith, and puts your hand in the hand of Christ, the Savior of the world. However, the Spirit of God is not yet done for when you have trusted Christ, you must learn of Him. (You can’t remain a baby forever!) And the Spirit of God delights to magnify the Lord Jesus before you and in you. And this separates you from this world to the Man in heaven the Lord Jesus Christ.
There are many today who use the name of Christ, and have not been convicted of their sins, and they have not repented because they have not called on God’s mercy. They have not been brought into the bosom of God the Father by Jesus Christ. It is Satan’s ploy to say, ‘Here is Christ, there is Christ, come worship with us even though we know not who we worship.’ In many cases when they are rebuked by the truth, and their religion is exposed then they hate the exposer. This has not changed since the days of Paul. He stated to the Galatians, Have I become your enemy because I tell you the truth. Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? (Galatians 4:16) The Galatians were in a tough situation between God and man, and between faith and the law. They were without liberty for ungodly men had crept in unaware to take away their liberty in Jesus Christ. And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: (Galatians 2:4) These same men who were brought in unawares are the same that we have today in the professing Church. They do not stand up and declare their ungodliness, nor do they tell you that they are there to deceive. They smile, they’re polite, and they have a small limited use of knowledge in the Word of God. Some (in our current time) deny the Word of God, and rely only on the traditions of men, and their unholy religion and profession. In many places where Christianity was once vibrant, when men like George Whitefield thundered the gospel across the meadows. These same meadows today lay fallow, and faith has vanished from the highways and byways. The buildings that once heard the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ are now given over to Satan and his hosts. Missionary after missionary left their shores to spread the gospel throughout the world, but the army at home laid down its sword and surrendered to the wickedness of man. This last visible energizing of Satan has increased over the whole world in every town, city, and in every hamlet. Visualize a man standing on the highest mountain crying loudly, ‘Where is faith?’ This was the heart of Elijah when he went to mount Sinai. He looked all over Israel, and to him, there was no faith, he believed that he alone had been jealous for his God. However, the Almighty, in a still small voice, told Elijah that he was not alone, and that He had reserved seven thousands who had not bowed the knee to Baal. When a sign reads, Come Worship With Us, I have never seen the following words underneath that statement: For We Worship the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the ploy of the devil. These ungodly men love to play the game of bondage. What do I mean by game? They say that you are free in Christ. Then they tell you that you must belong to a system of man no matter how large or small. This system (if it is directly solely of man) is still a system built by man and for man. Even independence from other systems does not change the bondage of man’s systems. I will use one example: while I was visiting with a family member, we went to an independent Bible believing (so called) Baptist church. I walked in the door and it was around the time of the world’s Christmas celebration, and there before me, behind the pulpit was a 20′ preacher called, The Christmas Tree. The idolatry of Semiramus and Baal had invaded their church, and they had no clue of what they were doing. Not only do we have Semiramus, but one of the systems of Baal was to worship among the trees in groves dedicated to Baal. They also cut trees down, fastened them, and decorated them in more personal settings. This form of worship is repeated today. (Jeremiah 10:3-5) Paul warned the Corinthians of idolatrous worship, and this has not changed today. What did the tree really preach loudly? It proclaimed, Here are thy gods O Israel. If Israel was punished for their idolatry, if the early church was punished for their idolatry under the system of Jezebel, then what do we have today? The religions of the Midianites and the children of the east are claiming to be of Christ, this is truly sad, and it grieves my soul, but I must stand firmly on the very gospel that has saved my own soul, and I must proclaim it loudly without shame, and without any intimidation from man.
What the Church Has Lost
The 119th Psalm is to keep me on track for it is the footsteps of the divine Man Jesus Christ. He has told me to follow Him above all others, and at any cost. No matter who says, Here is Christ, and there is Christ, or we have Christ, don’t believe them. For Christ is the glorified Man in heaven, and only through the Spirit of Christ, and through His Holy Spirit can you find the Man in heaven. The Spirit of God is not about to bring Christ down, you have to ascend to Him where He is, and know Him where He is. You find the glorified Man of Christ only in heaven. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, only through His Spirit can one enter into the kingdom of God, and that is the Spirit of His Christ Jesus Christ, and only then will you find the Redeemer of man.
When the remnant of Israel went back into the land from their captivity they picked up the rubble and started to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem, and to rebuild the temple. When the young men saw the finished work they cheered, and sang. When the old men (who had actually seen the glory of Solomon’s temple) saw the finished work, they wept (for they remembered the former glory). For the new work paled in their sight, and they wept for what they had lost. They had surrendered the glory of God for man’s feeble works.
And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid. (Ezra 3:11)
But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy: (Ezra 3:12)
So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off. (Ezra 3:13)
Looking back, the early church had one foundation, one Savior, one God Almighty Jesus Christ. He sent His Spirit to give gifts unto the Church so that they may be instructed in the things of God. All ministry (whether it is by the prophets, evangelists, or by teachers) must come from heaven itself. Anything less, is not worthy to be called ministry. The early Church rejected the gifts of the Lord, even the apostles were rejected by man, Paul declared to the Corinthians, the more I love, the less I am loved. This has not changed, in fact, it has grown progressively worse, consequently, we now live in an age where the Church does not want the ministry of heaven, but the ministry of man. It has turned to intellectual power and not spiritual power. The broad spectrum of what is called Christendom has nothing to do with Christ. They covet the gifts of Satan and of man. Money is the goal, and money determines success. Take away the collection plate and their faith would fall to the ground like a leaf that has been blown by the cold winds of autumn. And perchance if gift wanders through their door, they reject it and turn away from the true gift of God. In the spiritual sense their eyes cannot see above the horizon of man, and man’s rule.
They talk of the glory of God, but only in relationship to their wealth of the earth, and to the size of their auditoriums renamed ‘sanctuaries.’ As they sing of spirituality, they are void of the presence of the Spirit of God. Paul continued to cry out to the Church at Rome, why would anyone declare that he was not ashamed of the gospel of Christ? The answer is simple: there were those around him who were ashamed of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ for they had no inner power of the Spirit of God. Remember the Galatians, the very truth of God’s Word had made Paul an enemy to the people who had once embraced him with love and compassion. Many times truth has had to escape from the works of Satan: in a basket let down over a great wall of error.
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, (Galatians 4:19)
I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you. (Galatians 4:20)
There Is Power in The Gospel
Paul knew the wiles of the devil for the devil continued to punish him for his affection for Jesus Christ in the gospel. In Romans Chapter 1, verse 16, it is the power of such a gospel that it is able to separate Adam from the new creature in Christ. The gospel is powerful enough to give life to the dead, to give light to the blind, to give hearing to the deaf. It is the gospel of Jesus Christ that has all the power of the Almighty God unto salvation for everyone who believes on God’s dear Son. In Paul’s first epistle, the book of Romans, he persists with the argument of God that all have sinned and that all have come short of the glory of God, and he presents to man the complete power of the gospel of Christ that it is through the Spirit and not of the flesh. As the Spirit of God worked in the heart, soul and spirit of Paul, He transformed the book of Romans into a judicial document that condemned Adam for his guilt, and pardoned him through the grace of God. This was in complete opposition to the law of the Jews, or the mythology of the Romans, for mythology exalts mankind like the myth of Hercules.
In the age of Paul the Jews proclaimed that the law actually improved mankind, and they manipulated the law to hide their sins, even the murder of the Prince of Life. This infuriated the apostle Paul for man was without excuse before God, and only through divine intervention could man be saved, and that divine transaction had to come by Jesus Christ through His Spirit: wherein, a man must be born again. He must be a new creature with all the evidences of a new beginning. He must be a new creation with all the evidence of creational power. There is no law or churchology to save a soul. Salvation is from above by the grace of God by Jesus Christ and the power of His Holy Spirit. Do not think that all were believers in the early church, in most of Paul’s epistles he revealed his doubt about their profession about Christ. Why? Because Paul could not see spiritual life within them. He could only see death. One of the greatest clues of true Christianity is seeing one’s devotion to Christ and only to Christ, not devotion to the professing Church, or a religious passion for a church organization or system.
The Name
Over the years I have noticed a phenomenon developing around the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In the world’s surroundings the name of the Lord Jesus Christ has been gradually diminished to merely the name ‘Jesus.’ Then this name has been completely replaced with the word ‘God.’ This is only to give God a generic Being, for if we center on the Lord God Jesus Christ then we are separating ourselves not only from man’s political world, but from man’s religious world. There has been only one name given under heaven whereby we should be saved and that is the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. When anyone is ashamed of that name, then they are also ashamed of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. How can anyone be under the power of the Holy Spirit of God when they are ashamed or embarrassed about the name that is above every name? Why are not more looking for the glory of CHRIST? Maybe it is because they are still under the glory of Adam and the flesh.
Power
In the natural birth of Adam (man) he is chained to sin and death. And this chain can only be broken by the power of God and not man. Mankind in his religion has no remedy for sin and death. Only God can give NEW, I said NEW life in His Son Jesus Christ. So a gospel with the law has no power. A gospel with mythology has no power. A gospel with the traditions of men has no power. A gospel of man’s religion has no power. A gospel of good deeds has no power. A gospel of intellectualism has no power. A gospel of Greek philosophy has no power. A gospel of self-righteousness has no power. But the gospel of Jesus Christ has the power of God unto salvation.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:17)
This all reflects back to Psalm 119 verse 6, for as I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, nor am I ashamed of His commandments. These are the words of Christ, Himself, in the gospel of John.
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (John 14:21)
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (John 14:22)
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.(John 15:9)
If ye love me, keep my commandments. (John 14:15)
The truth of this love from God above is the breathe of Christ in the very heart, soul, and spirit of every Christian. We are bound to Him with His own blood. We are IN Him, the Sovereign and the Creator of all things, and He is in me. What a wonder of the Spirit of grace.
In the Garden of Love and Glory
Let’s turn our heads and hearts away from the world, and go into the garden of God. Let us sit and rest awhile with the Lord Jesus and be taught by Him of the things of heaven. We have an example of this in the Song of Songs Chapter 5, verse 1. I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved. What a wonderful scene of communion with the Lord Himself. We have a similar scene in the book of Revelation, Chapter 3, verse 20, The Lord stands at the door and knocks, and upon His entrance He brings the garden with Him so that we can sit and sup with Him, and listen to the whispers of the voice of the Spirit as the gentle breeze brings forth the fragrance of His love.
All is to glorify the Son of God, and the name that is above every name, what a marvel, that we should be called the sons of God.
Now with all of these things before us, and the glories that we see in Christ, we only see in part, for we see through a glass darkly as He enriches our life and directs us. We only get glimpses of Him through the lattice work in the window of faith. Once more, before I close, in the words of the Spirit of God, and in every heart of every true believer, I give you Romans Chapter 1, verses 16 and 17 one more time, what grace and life we have in Christ Jesus. Amen.
