The World to Come – Hebrews 2:5 –

The World to Come

Hebrews 2:5

For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. (Hebrews 2:5)

(This was given to the world as a message of the gospel)

The world changes every day, and years become giant steps into the future. Man is so restless in his condition that he is always looking for new frontiers to conquer, and when he conquers them, he takes their beauty and turns it into a wasteland. It becomes a wasteland of concrete and asphalt, glass and metal, brick and mortar, and his waste and refuse of all kinds. Every day we are waiting for tomorrow, or the world to come. The world that we are waiting for, however, is not the world to come in Hebrews 2:5. The Holy Spirit brings forth a new order, an order ruled in righteousness, and this is the world to come that the Holy Spirit of God speaks of. It is the new order of God in the millennial kingdom of Christ.

The new world order of God is fast approaching.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Revelation 20:4)

This world to come will not be ruled by man, nor by angels, but by the Son of God. When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: (Matthew 25:31) The once rejected Christ of God will rule in righteousness. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. (Hebrews 1:8) As He rules in heaven on His throne of righteousness, He will also establish a throne on earth ruled in righteousness. This will be over the entire world, and over the systems of the world. Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (Mark 8:38) Before He takes His throne, He will bring the nations of the world into subjection; His righteousness will be the rule of the world. This is not the present evil world that we now live in. To reach the world to come, man is going to see and will be part of many changes.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. (1 Thessalonians 4:14)

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. (1 Thessalonians 4:15)

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (1 Thessalonians 4:16)

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 4:17)

Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:18)

The Body of Christ which is the Church of the living God will be removed from this world by Christ Himself. He will receive her as a chaste virgin as His bride beloved into His glory where she, the Church, will be in complete subjection to Him, as one formed out of His own side. We, who are of Christ, are supernatural beings. We are born of Christ by the Spirit of God. It will be ours to worship Him through all eternity, for He loved us unto death, even the death of the cross. We will be gone out of this world and the world will probably declare ‘good riddance.’ What they will not know is that the Holy Spirit of God will also be taken out of the world, and man’s religious systems (without the Holy Spirit of God) will still continue on as they have throughout the centuries. The Holy Spirit of God has been resisting evil in the hearts of men, now, He will be removed.) For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. (2 Thessalonians 2:7) The Spirit of God is now removed, there is no restraint on man’s sin. This prepares the way for the one who opposes God and all that is of God. The man of sin will be revealed.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: (2 Thessalonians 2:8)

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, (2 Thessalonians 2:9)

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (2 Thessalonians 2:10)

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: (2 Thessalonians 2:11)

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:12)

The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is gone into heaven. The Spirit of God has ascended into heaven. Now the progression of man’s evil heart and the wickedness of his sin will fully and finally be revealed in a trinity of evil. There will be a false prophet, there will be a man of sin, and Satan himself will be energizing the evil heart of these men to lead humanity into the deepest evil that the world has ever known and experienced.

If we were to compare our ‘good’ with, what little is left, our ‘evil’ will be ‘good,’ in that day. Don’t shrug, it is true. I give you one phrase that has been used to bring forth greater evil, even in our day. The phrase is, ‘for the greater good,’ which has not brought good, but evil upon us. The Church is home with the Lord, but man will still be under the delusion of his own self-righteousness in man’s religion. Remember, that I said, ‘for the greater good.’

In my lifetime, I have seen society change. In the 50’s and 60’s all the moral fiber of man was thrown out the window. He desired evil, and evil has come. Then we had the 70’s and 80’s, this brought forth a new level of evil to overthrow the souls of men. Then in the 90’s to the 2010’s all forms of life in government were changed. Evil became despicable evil; yet, man was still calling out, ‘it is for the greater good.’ Tell me what good is there in ripping babies from their mother’s womb and dashing their heads upon a stone. Tell me what good is there in men laying with men. Tell me what good is there in perverts molesting children, and not receiving the severest judgment upon them, which is death. These children will carry that defilement all the days of their lives; yet these men and women escape with light sentences to show forth the total perversion of this world.

Now we have the last five years from 2010 to 2015, we, as a national people, have been turned into a world people. Government is getting closer to receive a one world order. All the migration of the world’s people (by the way this migration is really an invasion) is preparing the way for a one world government, ruled by the trinity of evil.

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. (Revelation 13:1)

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. (Revelation 13:2)

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. (Revelation 13:3)

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? (Revelation 13:4)

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. (Revelation 13:5)

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. (Revelation 13:6)

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. (Revelation 13:7)

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:8)

This trinity of evil will be the last of man’s rule on earth. The state of moral disorder will be at such a state that all rights of man will be given up for their sin. Their sin will be the motivating force of all their actions.

This trinity of evil will be the last of man’s rule on earth. The state of moral disorder will be at such a state that all rights of man will be given up for their sin. Their sin will be the motivating force of all their actions.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; (Romans 1:18)

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. (Romans 1:19)

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (Romans 1:20)

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. (Romans 1:21)

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, (Romans 1:22)

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. (Romans 1:23)

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: (Romans 1:24)

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (Romans 1:25)

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: (Romans 1:26)

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. (Romans 1:27)

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; (Romans 1:28)

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, (Romans 1:29)

Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, (Romans 1:30)

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: (Romans 1:31)

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1:32)

Today, in our society, we are plagued with adultery, this was the first wickedness brought into society by the evil heart of man to destroy the family unit (even his own). This brought divorce for all reasons and for every excuse, so much so that men lived with women in an unmarried state. Then we had sexual sins of all kinds, in their evil, man have become animals driven by their evil desires. The children of this world are not safe from predators and sexual misfits of this world. Laws given by God are removed, there was one man and one woman in the garden. God did not make of the rib of Adam another man, but a helpmate, this was the woman, Eve. Man in his wickedness and perverted life desires to overthrow the sanctity and unity of marriage. The Lord Jesus declared concerning the marriage of a man with a woman, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? (Matthew 19:5) Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. (Matthew 19:6)

This not only applies to divorce, but to the perversion that we see in today’s society of man with man, and woman with woman. They are mocking God because they hate God. They flaunt themselves in their perversion in the face of God Almighty. They are enemies of the cross of Christ, and enemies of the Lord Jesus Christ; therefore, they are the enemies of the Godhead.

When David saw the condition in his day, and the wickedness around him, and how they shook their fists in the face of the Almighty God; he wrote this in Psalm 139, Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? (Ps 139:21) I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. (Ps 139:22) In our present evil world, this evil is all around us, this evil is a stench in the nostrils of God; and God hates this evil and will judge this evil with relentless judgment. The world, however, looks up to heaven, shakes their fists in the face of God. This is the world that they want. They want a world with no God. If they have no God, then there is nothing to restrain them from the works of their evil hearts. They have cast the Prince of Life out of their world, and soon the Spirit of God will be removed to leave the sows to wallow in their own waste.

You want to be animals, so animals you will be. Remember Nebuchadnezzar and his rebellion against God. He declared that He, Himself, was the god of this world in his golden image set up in the plain of Shinar. Yet, God humbled him, He made him become as a beast in the field, and God will let man become a beast by his own heart and hand. (Daniel 4:28-33)

If the stink of man’s moral condition today does not bring out a righteous declaration from your heart against this ungodliness and moral wickedness, I would examine myself, whether I be in Christ or not.

When this stink of man reaches up to heaven, then God the Judge of the world will reach out with His right arm of judgment and cast judgment into this world. He will use His holy angels to send all manner of judgment upon this world, and its people. And still, they will not repent of all their filthy sins. The judgments get progressively worse, until man hides himself in dens and caves.

And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; (Revelation 6:12)

And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. (Revelation 6:13)

And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. (Revelation 6:14)

And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; (Revelation 6:15)

And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: (Revelation 6:16)

For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (Revelation 6:17)

These men are from all walks of life, no one is exempt from this judgment. In my lifetime, I have met people from all walks of life, and from all walks of life they have mocked and made fun of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and yet, I have given them the gospel in hope that they would be saved. There is coming a day, however, when the gospel that is being preached today will be silent. For the dispensation, or the day of grace, will come to an end when the Spirit of God leaves this world. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. These men of all nations, of all political persuasions, and of all man’s false religions will still not repent. Their hearts are being prepared so that they will worship a man (evil, like themselves), and even the image of that man.

The judgment of the Almighty God will continue. God will use all the elements of creation against man. Still, he will not repent. The systems of this world will be broken down into chaos of every kind; yet man will still not repent. The history of man will repeat itself, for man in his perversion will be as the days of Noah.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (Revelation 18:4)

For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. (Revelation 18:5)

Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. (Revelation 18:6)

How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. (Revelation 18:7)

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. (Revelation 18:8)

And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, (Revelation 18:9)

Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. (Revelation 18:10)

And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; (2 Peter 2:5)

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5) And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. (Genesis 6:6) And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. (Genesis 6:7) But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. (Genesis 6:8)

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (Matthew 24:35)

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. (Matthew 24:36)

But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matthew 24:37)

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, (Matthew 24:38)

And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matthew 24:39)

At this point ask yourself, should God destroy man once and for all? God is ever merciful; He will give man one last chance. The Lord Jesus stands from His throne, He will rule over man in righteousness and give man as a whole, one last opportunity to repent. This will not be easy for man, for man will rebel against Him, but He will come with force. This force will be of no equal in man’s history.

Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. (Isaiah 63:1)

Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? (Isaiah 63:2)

I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. (Isaiah 63:3)

For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. (Isaiah 63:4)

And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. (Isaiah 63:5)

And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth. (Isaiah 63:6)

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. (Revelation 19:11)

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. (Revelation 19:12)

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. (Revelation 19:13)

And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. (Revelation 19:14)

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. (Revelation 19:15)

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, (Jude 1:14)

The Lord of glory will come with the armies of heaven. He will come in force to put into subjection all the nations of this world. This innumerable army from heaven is made up of glorified saints, and His holy angels. He will come to put into subjection the whole world. All political systems, all armies, all of man’s rule will be nullified, and Christ will rule in righteousness. The world, however, does not submit easily. It is by supreme divine force that they are overthrown. Many think that the Lord Jesus will come and say, ‘please follow me.’ Remember I said that the day of grace was over. It will not be ‘please’ but ‘must follow me.’ It will be through His wrath that He brings the world into subjection to His world to come. This period of time is for a thousand years. His reign will be in righteousness, and evil of any kind will not be tolerated. And judgment will be swift on the offenders.

One point I would like to make clear, man will not peaceably surrender to the Lord of glory. The world will be beaten into subjection, and those who refuse will be eliminated. You say, these are harsh terms. The Lord Jesus came in grace over 2000 years ago. We are in the third millennial, and still the world has not repented of their evil. We are in the beginning of the third day. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. (Hosea 6:2) This prophecy was given to Israel as a harbinger of light. If we interpret this prophecy according to Peter’s declaration that a thousand years is a day unto the Lord, and a day is a thousand years; then we are in the beginning of the third millennial or third day. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2 Peter 3:8) This puts the world at the threshold of the coming of Christ to set up His kingdom, and to restore Israel to her former glory. Remember, we are with the Lord. The Church has been removed from this world. We now come with Him in glory as He sets up His kingdom. This thousand-year reign of the Lord Jesus Christ is the last test of man in Adam. The creation will be restored to its glory. Man will be living in the best of circumstances; yet will not give up his sin. In this kingdom, however, the penalty will be just, and it will be swift. This last test of Adam will end in disaster. After the thousand years, Satan will be loosed out of the pit.

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. (Revelation 20:1)

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, (Revelation 20:2)

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. (Revelation 20:3)

Satan will gather all the nations of the world to rebel against God, and against His Christ. You say, ‘how can this be?’— because the heart of man is continually evil. The judgment of these armies and Satan will be swift.

And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, (Revelation 20:7)

And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. (Revelation 20:8)

And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. (Revelation 20:9)

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revelation 20:10)

Notice that these nations come from the four corners of the earth. They are united once again with their leader, the Devil himself. At this end, you have the evil heart of man being led by Satan himself. There is only one resolve, and now fire comes down from heaven, and destroys the evil of man’s heart once and for all. Now that the nations of this world are dealt with, we see a new picture in the great white throne judgment.

At this time, all the saints of God (from the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the tribulation period) are home with Christ. Now comes the great white throne judgment from which there is no escape for all ungodly men who have perished on this earth; they will be cast up out of the sea, they will be cast up out of the dust, they will be cast up out of hell, and the books will be opened — the book of the judgment and wrath of God. There will be no question of inerrancy at this time. There will be no excuses for every mouth will be stopped. They have taken their last ride on the train of evil, and they have reached their final stop. From here they will be cast into an eternity of judgment; there will be no going back, and no place of repentance. There will be no Lamb of God for them, for they have trampled underfoot the blood of Christ, and done despite and blaspheme to the Holy Ghost. They will, however, have something to take with them to the lake of fire, it will be their tears and gnashing of teeth throughout all eternity. They will be in a place where the worm dieth not, ( the Lord Jesus said in Mark 9:44, 46, 48) where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched, not for a day, not for an hour, not for a minute; but for ever and ever and ever . . . this will be the final resting place for the evil heart of man. Adam will be no more.

After this tremendous judgment there is one more task for the Lord to perform. All the angels of God, all the saints throughout time and history will watch their Creator dissolve this old earth and the heavens will pass away as a scroll, and God will create a new heaven, and a new earth.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. (Revelation 21:1)

God causes the elements to melt, and there is a great passing away of this world.

God causes the elements to melt, and there is a great passing away of this world.

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? (2 Peter 3:12) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2 Peter 3:13)

As we look on the heaven and the earth being dissolved, we will see once again, the chaos and darkness of Genesis 1. This terrible end, however, only brings forth the most marvelous light and glory of God in a new heaven and new earth. There is no sin to scar this earth. If you think the world that we dwell in today is beautiful then repent of your sin, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and see the next world to come; wherein righteousness will dwell. The old world, after the fall of Adam, was the dwelling place of sin; therefore, it had to go the way of sin, and be destroyed.

The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. (Psalm 24:1)

A closing note — Psalm 24:1 divides the earth and the world, the earth is the creation of God, and the world is the dwelling place of man. In the final order of things, the last creation of God, God will call the creation, the new heaven and the new earth. The world of sinful man is no more, and the creation of the new earth is the final dwelling place of the righteousness of God. Amen.
