Call to Remembrance
(Hebrews 10:32)
But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; (Hebrews 10:32)

Remembering the Former Days
As we call to mind the remembrance of the day of our salvation, the joy that was set before us in the Lord was unspeakable for the Spirit of the Lord was speaking to our heart with the silent words of God. Little did the servant know what was before him and his wife when each step would be a remembrance and the former days would turn into years.
Therefore, let us remember when the children of Israel sang as they saw their deliverance from Pharaoh and his host. They watched as the Egyptians were devoured in the sea of God’s vengeance as both horse and rider disappeared into the darkness of the wrath of God as the walls of water collapsed upon them. The children of Israel were then delivered out of their bondage to Egypt, but their journey had just begun. The Lord would prove them for a total of forty years in the wilderness. (Hebrews 3:17) During their journeys through the wilderness their hearts became faint, and they remembered Egypt and the fishes and the cucumbers, thereby, forgetting the pain of their stripes and their bondage, and their task master’s whips.
Today, we, as the children of God, are a heavenly people, the earth is NOT our home, but it is the place of our wanderings. We have been delivered from the world which is our Egypt, and the whole world surrounds us, a heavenly people, with a heavenly home; thus, we look for our Lord to come in the clouds to take us home, or to call us from the grave where He gives His own precious sleep . . . the peaceful sleep in Jesus.
We remember the former days, and we remember the rich manna of the word of God showing us our steps whether the road was smooth or rough. It was the Light of the Lord that led us through the shadows and sometimes through palpable darkness. His light ever burning in our hearts as His light exposed the world and those who are of the world. Israel wandered in the wilderness for forty years, they were led by a cloud by day, and fire by night. God laid out a sure path and set it before them, but sadly they were subject to the heart of Adam and their own sin. Their eyes were blinded by sin, and all they could see was the temporal around them. Their feeling was dictated by their own flesh. God had come to them and had spoken to them, but they could not bear the word of the Lord. So Moses was made their mediator, a mediator between God and man. Although Moses was an earthly man, a descendant of Adam, God called Moses to be His prophet and mediator to the children of Israel. Israel would have an earthly mediator whereas, we, the children of God, have a heavenly Man, a heavenly Mediator, the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Lord of all. He is Lord of that which is SEEN and He is Lord of the UNSEEN as well.
Now, the Spirit speaks expressly, that which is of the earth is earthly, and that which is of the Spirit is heavenly. Therefore, for the present, as children of God, we see a great divide of the earthly things and the heavenly things. We belong to the heavenly realm of the kingdom of God’s dear Son.

The Book of God’s Remembrances Reveals
God’s Own Remembrances
God has given us a book: His word of remembrances to guide us through our own wilderness until we pass over to our heavenly home. Although, we have our own remembrances of former days, God has given us His word full of His remembrances of man and of the world. He opens to us both the heaven and the earth. He reveals to us the war that was in heaven as a remembrance when Lucifer rebelled against His sovereign. God allows us to look into God’s own remembrances. Today, we are blessed with God’s own eternal word, and the genealogy of the Word of God beginning with the writings of Moses by the Eternal Spirit of Christ, and carried through the history of man to our present day in the King James Bible.
For it is THAT which was from the beginning that is present with us today. The writings of Moses have endured millenniums and yet through ALL the writings of God, the Spirit of Christ, which was in the holy men of old, has KEPT the genealogy of the Word of God. In the book of Malachi, Chapter 3, verses 16 and 17 a book of remembrance was written. This shows the intense relationship that the Lord has with His people, for it was those who FEARED the Lord that this book of remembrance was written. Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. (Malachi 3:16) And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. (Malachi 3:17) They feared the LORD for the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.
Side Note: Seven times (the number of God’s perfection) the words ‘fear’ and ‘wisdom’ is tied together in scripture.
1 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that [is] wisdom; and to depart from evil [is] understanding. (Job 28:28)
2 The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do [his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever. (Psalm 111:10)
3 The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7)
4 The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy [is] understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)
5 The fear of the LORD [is] the instruction of wisdom; and before honour [is] humility. (Proverbs 15:33)
6 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; (Isaiah 11:2)
7 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, [and] strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD [is] his treasure. (Isaiah 33:6) ◆ End of Side Note.
The fear of the LORD is the knowledge of the holy for God sees all, and records all, His eyes, His penetrating eyes of deity constantly search the earth on behalf of those who fear Him.
● For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. (2nd Chronicles 16:9)
● For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth. (Zechariah 4:10)
● For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. (Zechariah 3:9)
● And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. (Revelation 5:6)
The eye is NOT just for vision, for the eye SEES, the conscience responds, and the soul determines.
As the eyes of the LORD sees all, we are reminded that those same eyes are the seven Spirits of the Lamb. It is Christ who searches the hearts of man, and the seven Spirits show the full deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is Lord of earth as well as Lord of heaven. Is not the eye of man the window into his soul? This is a spiritual understanding, the eye is NOT just for vision, for the eye SEES, and the conscience responds, and the soul determines. In the case of man, as in Malachi Chapter 4, man must be illuminated with the truth and the same theme is found throughout the book of Hebrews for the Spirit of God begins with ONE GOD who at sundry times and in diverse manners revealed His word and His thoughts to man. Beginning in Genesis 1:1, God introduces HIMSELF as the Creator of heaven and earth. Man could NOT have this knowledge EXCEPT God revealed it to him. In our study verse of Hebrews 10:32, the word remembrance is given in the word of God and in our new life as a child of God, we build our remembrances as we are illuminated by God’s own word. He gives us light in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Light of the world, and the depth of the knowledge of the holy.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (John 1:4) And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:5)
Christ came to separate the light from the darkness. In the physical sense, as the Creator, He separated the light from the darkness in Genesis 1:3. In Genesis 1:3, He took what was in HIM and created light for the world and kept it separated from the darkness. He divided. He set a division between His light and the darkness. When He came as the Living Word of God in the gospel of John Chapter 1, He brought the light of His own Spirit to divide the darkness of the evil one, and man in his sin. He brought light, which is the life of man, and the darkness understood it not. He came to DIVIDE mankind with a great division, a great wall of division to separate the hearts of darkness and to create new hearts of light. How great is the darkness? Have you ever been in the depth of physical darkness? It is a darkness that can be felt. You can see nothing, and your being perceives only darkness. When you look straight ahead there appears a wall of darkness, if your look to the right or left there is the same wall of darkness, and behind you is nothing but darkness. It surrounds and embraces all in its complete emptiness. So, why then, does man LOVE darkness and HATE the light of Christ? It is because of man’s works in his own sin and the deeds that man performs, both his days and nights are full of darkness.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (John 3:19) For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. (John 3:20)
The light of God has come into the world in the manifestation of the Man from heaven, the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ is the embryo of all creation. He is the Seed of all faith and light. It is His light that illuminates the eye of the soul especially in the process of the new birth. Only a direct beam of light from God through the Spirit of Christ can give life to that which is dead in Adam. By His Spirit He restores the soul, and He removes the spirit of man and replaces it with the Spirit of the divine nature. He gives man a new heart bursting with fountains of eternal life. These are the things that God wants us to understand that our new birth is NOT the work of man, it is NOT of man’s blood, it is NOT of man’s flesh, and it is NOT of man’s spirit. Our new birth is a TOTAL SUPERNATURAL work of God, and those who have been born anew have that remembrance of the very moment when the Spirit of God quickened them. It is a truth that when a person is born again that very moment their walk begins with the Son of God, and with the word of God.
There are two innate laws that cannot be changed by man, or by his deeds or works. One is the Law of Sin and Death, and the other is The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. These two laws are contrary to each other for The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has overcome The Law of Sin and Death. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2) Man cannot stop death, and man cannot give the Spirit of life. These two laws of life and death can only be enforced by God. They are the laws that separate death from eternal life. They are completely apart from the Laws and Commandments that God gave to man as tools for guidance and these Commandments God expected man to obey. To obey is better than sacrifice. To harken is better than the fat of rams. Even the Commandments of God in our day are to quicken our mind, heart, soul and spirit with remembrances of the past, our walk in the present, and our vision into the future according to the word of God. In Hebrews 10:32, we have an unction by the Spirit of God to remember the former days, to remember our path of faith to this present day. God also gives us remembrances of those who walked by faith. Abel was the first of a long spiritual line and seed of faith. His obedience to God was his life for out of enmity and jealousy Cain drove a spear through the heart of Abel. Abel was offering his more excellent sacrifice whereby he obtained the righteousness of God IN Jesus Christ. And he being dead yet speaketh, By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. (Hebrews 11:4) Abel’s testimony is a remembrance that even in his day, the light shineth in the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not. There was no light in the eyes, in the heart, in the spirit nor in the soul of Cain. He was of that wicked one and his father was the devil. (John 8:44) The devil had blinded Cain to the truth of the word of God. Cain HATED the light of Abel and this hate drove Cain to slay his brother with a spear of death through the heart. This was a shadow of the Roman spear of hate that was thrust into the heart of Jesus Christ and out flowed the water and the blood of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. (Acts 20:28) This is one of the mysteries of the Spirit of God. This verse of Acts 20:28 shows us that the blood that was shed on the cross of Calvary was divine blood and NOT the blood of Adam (man) or his descendants. It was the blood of deity, and it flowed from the side of deity when the Roman spear pierced the heart of God. Who is sufficient for these things? We could never understand what God sees in man that God would do such a thing in giving Himself and giving His blood for the salvation of man. It is amazing how God the Holy Spirit uses certain words in certain places and in certain phrases to point out the whole. If you will . . . to put the capstone on this divine truth . . . that it was the blood of God IN Jesus Christ that was shed upon the cross. Did I lose you? Are the thoughts of man interfering with the thoughts of God? Why is this great truth revealed in Acts 20? And why does the Spirit claim that the blood of Christ was the blood of God that purchased His Church? It is to show even at that time the doubting Church and its overseers chosen by the Spirit of God and to REVEAL the FULL and COMPLETE DEITY of Christ IN the Church and IN heaven. The battle of the deity of God began in the war in heaven when Lucifer rebelled and wanted to be God. When the creature that was created wanted to overthrow his Creator, the whole theory of man and evolution is the same spirit of Lucifer in the war that took place in heaven. That which is created has NO authority unless it is given to that creature by God Himself. Let’s look into the mind set of Lucifer at the time of his rebellion against God and REMEMBER that the Bible teaches concerning man that rebellion against God is as witchcraft. For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from [being] king. (1st Samuel 15:23) So, let’s look into the rebellion of Lucifer. In Isaiah Chapter 14, we have the five ‘I will’s’ of Lucifer.
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: (Isaiah 14:13) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (Isaiah 14:14)
Number 1, this created entity said in his heart, I will ascend into heaven. Here we have this angelic creation wanting to ascend into the realm of heaven. This would be the portion of heaven that is ONLY for God Himself where His throne is set. Lucifer wanted to be higher than the most high God. The next ‘I will’ of Lucifer . . . listen closely . . . I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. Here we have a reference to the entire creation including the SEEN and the UNSEEN whether it is the celestial beings, the angels, or the tangible stars that have been named by God. Lucifer wanted to be higher than his Creator. Next, in the ‘will’ of Lucifer, he declared, I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. This was to usurp ALL worship to himself and NOT to God. Lucifer was to be the light of creation and NOT God. In the world that we dwell in, in the northern hemisphere, or we could say in the sides of the north, at certain times there is a display of what we call ‘the northern lights,’ or the ‘aurora borealis.’ Could this be a witness of God that He is still over the congregation of the sides of the north? And also, we know that this only takes places in the northen hemisphere. There is a great treasure in these lights made up of many colors. Just as the great congregation in the sides of the north are made up of many jewels which the Lord has chosen for Himself when this great congregation when the sons of God will be gathered together around the emerald throne. I am sure that the reflection from the throne will be more amazing than all the displays of the northern lights. But Lucifer did not stop there. He declared, I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, again a reference to God’s creation. It is not only in the heart of Lucifer, but man has fallen for this same willful spirit, the ‘I wills’ of man, I will fly, I will ascend above the clouds, I will ascend into the heavens, and I will rule the heavens. Is this not the same heart as Lucifer? And then, what came out of the mouth of Lucifer, I will be like the most High. This was NOT an angel reflecting the Spirit of God, this is an angel that wants to be the Spirit of God. All this arrogance, all this pride, all this enmity, and all this sin NOT only befell Lucifer, but man has been brought into the same realm of disobedience with the same traits as the anointed cherub. But what did pride and arrogance get Lucifer? He went from declaring himself to be like the most high God and to rule over the sides of the north to being brought down to the ground, he was brought down to hell, and instead of the sides of the north, he will end up in the sides of the pit. Isaiah 14 not only gives us the past actions of Lucifer, but presents the present and the future of this evil entity. Chapter 14 of the book of Isaiah is a masterpiece portrait of this angelic being painted in words so that we could see the complete character of this fallen creature called Lucifer. I remind you that Lucifer still sees himself as the God of this world for in Revelation Chapter 13, he raises up a man, The Beast, and sits this Beast upon his own throne which will bring to pass, the fullness of Satan’s kingdom which in the end will be overthrown by the Lord Jesus Christ, and Christ will sit on His throne over the whole earth. The day will come when Satan will announce his man, and man is finally put in his proper place as a beast. The theory of evolution concludes that man is a beast. Man has proven through actions that he truly believes that he is a beast; therefore, it is quite fitting that the last ruler over the world is called The Beast.
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. (Revelation 13:2)
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. (Revelation 13:3)
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? (Revelation 13:4)
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. (Revelation 13:5)
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. (Revelation 13:6)
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. (Revelation 13:7)
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:8)
If any man have an ear, let him hear. (Revelation 13:9)
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. (Revelation 13:10)

The Book of God’s Remembrances Reveals that which Came to Pass
and that which Shall Surely Come to Pass
Now the eyes of the Spirit of God have given us a view into the future in the foreknowledge of God and through His determinate counsels. God has revealed this to us through His holy prophet on the Isle of Patmos whose name was John. God in His foreknowledge gave us a book of remembrances for these things must shortly come to pass. The eyes of the Lord NOT only go to and fro throughout the world, but His eye of foreknowledge, and THROUGH that eye, He reveals that which is to come in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. God reveals both His foreknowledge and past knowledge to our present time and gives us remembrances recorded by His Spirit for our edification.
When Nehemiah returned to the land of Judea to build the walls of the city of Jerusalem, he rode his beast and surveyed the ruins in the darkness of the night. As he looked over the destruction of the walls of Jerusalem, his spirit wept. So also today, the same world of Nebuchadnezzar, the world of Babylon, has penetrated into the Church and has torn down the walls of separation. And carried away its truth in exchange for the world and the authority of man. From the description in the book of Nehemiah, you can almost feel the armies of Nebuchadnezzar tearing down the walls and burning the gates of entrance. Although not written that way, it must have been a remembrance that Nehemiah had heard from those of the captivity. They had been in captivity for seventy (70) years and most likely Nehemiah had been born in captivity. He listened to the elders as they described Jerusalem and received their remembrances as we read in Psalm 137.
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. (Psalm 137:1)
We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. (Psalm 137:2)
For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. (Psalm 137:3)
How shall we sing the LORD’S song in a strange land? (Psalm 137:4)
If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. (Psalm 137:5)
If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy. (Psalm 137:6)
Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof. (Psalm 137:7)
O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. (Psalm 137:8)
Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones. (Psalm 137:9)
When Nehemiah was sad in the presence of the king, God worked in the heart of the king to send Nehemiah and the children of the captivity with a specific task of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah had listened to many remembrances of Jerusalem that God, in His foreknowledge, revealed to the children of God. The celestial city of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, is the mother of all the redeemed, this is the revelation of the Father’s house with many mansions, and if it was not so, Christ would have told us. He revealed such truths to seek those things which are above and not the things of the earth. Whether we look on the earth today, or what is professed to be the Church, as Nehemiah wept, we also weep over the waste and rubble of a once glorious Church. (CLICK HERE to read more about Nehemiah, and his secret mission to survey the walls of Jerusalem and why THE DRAGON WELL is recorded.)

The Genealogy of the Word of God
Earlier in this article I mentioned the genealogy of the Bible, as it was revealed through history as the WORD OF GOD through MANY generations of man. Should it not have a genealogy from the beginning? Could there be such a genealogy? God gives us a genealogy in the very words of His creation. He opens the Bible with six days of a genealogy of creation. God declared In the beginning of this genealogy that He, God, created the heaven FIRST, then the earth. Then He proceeded with the creation of the sun and the moon and also the stars to reflect not natural light but the genealogy of the Supernatural Light in illumination.
We have the genealogy of man beginning with Adam. We have the genealogy of the faithful beginning with Abel, then after his death, the genealogy of Seth and his progeny when men began to call on the name of the Lord. Then we have a profound list, the generation of man and the seventh from Adam, Enoch, walked with God and through his faith and obedience God took him. Then we proceed through all this genealogy to Noah who also walked with God and was a preacher of righteousness. Noah saw the old world of corruption bow out in total destruction, and God delivered Noah through the great worldwide flood and presented a brand-new world to Noah then God made a divine covenant with Noah and with the earth. That covenant has continued throughout the genealogy of mankind and the genealogy of the earth to this very day. And it will continue until God creates a NEW heaven and a NEW earth.
All the kings of Judah were established by their genealogy. If they were not a DIRECT descendant of David, they were not qualified to be the king of Judah. We also have the genealogy of the priesthood. When Ezra and his company returned to the land to build the Temple, the Levites had to show their genealogy and many could not, therefore, they were disqualified from taking part in the sacrifices and the procedures of Temple protocol. When all was finished and dedicated the young men beheld the Temple and they cheered, but the old men wept, remembering the former glory of the Temple in the days of Josiah before the captivity. Although the Temple of Solomon was in ruin many times, even the doors at one point in time were nailed shut; yet, God kept the original structure of Solomon’s Temple until the days Josiah, and these days the Temple and the word of God were re-instituted by a godly king named Josiah.
Josiah was a boy king who came to the throne of David at eight years of age. He not only had an earthly genealogy back to David, but we also have a heavenly genealogy through a prophet of God, who prophesied both his name and that he would be a boy king. This took place hundreds of years BEFORE Josiah’s birth. This puts Josiah in a very select group of individuals, and God gave us the remembrance of Josiah and his circumstances for a reason. Josiah was the LAST king to return the glory of the kingdom to the Temple of God. He was the LAST king to vanquish the evil in Jerusalem and throughout the surrounding cities of Judah. Josiah even destroyed the temples on the mount of corruption that Solomon had made and dedicated for his many wives. It is recorded that Solomon worshiped in these temples on the mount of corruption. So, you see with Josiah that he destroyed that which was against God and re-instituted that which was for God through the word of God that was found in the rubble of the Temple that had been closed because of the corruption of previous kings and priests and the Levites.
Josiah and his name are among a very select group of individuals NAMED BEFORE THEIR BIRTH by a name from heaven. We also see this in the beginning of the New Testament when Zacharias was given the name of his son BEFORE the conception of his son, John the Baptist. John was both the LAST prophet of the Old Testament and the FIRST prophet of the New Testament. This unique messenger was sent by God. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. (John 1:6) In this verse we see both the words and numbers declaring that John was a man (6) sent by God (1). The number 1 designates the ONE TRUE GOD, and the number 6 designates man’s number. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. Just a reminder, Matthew is the gospel of the kingdom, with Christ being the King of kings; Mark is the gospel of the TRUE SERVANT completely dedicated to the will of God; Luke is the gospel of the heavenly Son of man, and John is the gospel of the Spirit of God for what is revealed in the gospel of John is beyond the eyes and the knowledge of man. This is why both words and numbers are unique in this gospel, especially the numbers around the Son of God.
Returning to Josiah: all the kings of Israel were designated BY their genealogy. In the gospel according to Matthew, the very first chapter gives us both the generation and the separate genealogy of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have eternal generations and a temporal genealogy. The generation of Jesus Christ is ONE truth for it establishes a NEW GENERATION through a man sent down from heaven, the only begotten of the Father, which was His beloved Son. THIS generation (singular) takes in the past, the present and the future through the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today and forever. He has a singular everlasting generation of ALL those who have walked BY FAITH in the everlasting God. As Christ is the beginning of the creation of God all the redeemed are part of THAT creation CALLED out of darkness by the creatorial power of the Son of God to be an everlasting generation of the redeemed. And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; (Revelation 3:14)
We, as the redeemed, have been called OUT of darkness into God’s marvelous light in the Lord Jesus Christ. By the Spirit of God, we see generational thought throughout the WHOLE of the word of God. So why cannot the word, the written word, have its own genealogy created of God and KEPT by God through the many centuries of man’s existence on earth? God has declared that His word is settled in heaven FOREVER. (Psalm 119:89) Also, in this wonderful psalm God states that the word of God is TRUE from the beginning. (Psalm 119:160) And in Psalm 119, verse 140 God proclaimed that the word of God is PURE over all. In Psalm 119 every facet of the word of God is revealed and upheld AND those who love the Lord are drawn into the word of God by the many marvels that the Spirit of God reveals to them. Take the names of the redeemed, their names are written in heaven in the Lamb’s book of life, and I suppose that in the Lamb’s book of life you will find that all of those names to be the eternal generation of Jesus Christ.
When Moses was first told by God to write, God dictated to Moses the very words that Moses wrote, and Moses was face to face with God. Remember also that the finger of God burned into the two tablets of stone of The Ten Commandments that God gave to man, nevertheless, man has cast off these commandments. Make no mistake, these words were written by the finger of God, and although man may erase them from their memory, man will still be accountable to the word of God’s power, or the power of His word. We should understand that when God dictated to Moses, he was given revelations of the past, the present and of the future. Moses wrote the beginning breath of the eternal word of God on earth which we call the written word of God. Moses wrote the first generation of the word of God in the first five books that carries his name. Moses was the first of many prophets to come, many holy men of God would write as they were moved by the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ. There have been many generations of the word of God; however, the purity of the word of God has been kept by the Spirit of God to our present day, thus, we have the King James Bible. This Bible has proven itself for more than four hundred years, and it still contains the first five books of Moses, and is just as inspiring today as the day that Moses first wrote them.
To the true child of God nothing on earth can replace the written word of God. It is unique in every way, in its phraseology, in its choice of words, and the choice of placement of those words. It is unique in its themes, one being The Law of First Mention, which the child of God can follow through the written word from the first mention of the subject or from the very word itself to the last mention. Although the first five books of the Bible were written by Moses, the words were breathed by God Himself. So what determines this divine genealogy of the word of God? The Bible tells us the determining factor is the Spirit of Christ that is in it. In our day that same Spirit of Christ that is within every true believer gives the true interpretation, the ONLY interpretation of God’s holy word. As the word has been given by the Spirit of Christ, so it has also been KEPT by the Spirit of Christ, and its interpretation can only come through the same Spirit of Christ that originally gave the words that make up the PURE word of God. It is the Spirit of Christ within the child of God that reveals all the glory of the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Spirit of Christ cannot be fooled by the corruptness of mankind. As Christ was the manifestation of the invisible God, so too the written word is the manifestation of the WORD of God settled in heaven forever. The word of God will be KEPT by the SAME Spirit of Christ completely out of the control of man. We see the effect of its divine breath of life in Hebrew 4:12, 13.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12) Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. (Hebrews 4:13)
In the gospel of John, there is a reason for the Living Word of God to be united with the written word of God. It is the declaration of the Spirit of God to the very truths that are within this gospel. As the Light of Christ is united with the LIFE of Christ, as the Living Word of God, so the Spirit of God unites the word of God so that man has a divine record of the words of Christ as Christ would write them and speak them with NO room for error. How many today look for blemishes or imperfections in the Son of God? They also look for error and imperfections in the written word of God, deceiving themselves and being deceived. The Living Word (Jesus Christ) gives His authority as the Living Word in John 1:1-4. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) The same was in the beginning with God. (John 1:2) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:3) In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (John 1:4)
The Lord Jesus through His Spirit authenticates the writing of the prophets including Moses by Christ’s divine Spirit.
● Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: (1st Peter 1:10) Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. (1st Peter 1:11) Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. (1st Peter 1:12)
● For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2nd Peter 1:21)
● And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. (Luke 24:27)
● And he said unto them, These [are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and [in] the prophets, and [in] the psalms, concerning me. (Luke 24:44)
Let the record show that the prophets of old were holy men of God called by God specifically to WRITE by the Spirit of Christ and that the word of God came NOT by the will of man, BUT holy men of God SPOKE and WROTE as they were moved or led of the Holy Ghost. This is NOT a contradiction of the Spirit of Christ for Christ is the FULLNESS OF THE GODHEAD BODILY. As the gospel of John is the gospel of the Spirit of God, it is the gospel of revelation for in it the Lord Jesus declared that He is ONE with the Father, both in Spirit and revelation of His own manifestation as the Son of God.
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? (John 14:91)
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. (John 14:10)
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. (John 14:11)
This is a divine revelation only found in the gospel according to John. There are many revelations in this fourth gospel that had not been revealed previously.
This same Philip in John 14 was the one who called Nathanael and told him that they had found the Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth. Philip was an eyewitness to the words that Nathanael said in John Chapter 1, verse 49, Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. This was a revelation from the Spirit of God TO Nathaniel, and Philip was in their presence. Here we have a revelation that Christ IS the Son of God which man attempts to dispute. We also have the revelation that Jesus Christ IS the King of Israel. Also, denied by man, as well as denied by Israel. But, Nathanael received this revelation by the Spirit of God. Nathanael began with Rabbi, which means ‘Master,’ thus, giving complete authority to the Lord Jesus Christ. And after this, Nathanael spoke the words from heaven, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
To all the disputers, the gospel of the Spirit of God, the gospel of John reveals in the very first Chapter that Christ is the MASTER OF ALL, that Christ is the Son of God, and that Christ is the KING OF ISRAEL. This same Philip was reminded in John Chapter 14 that the manifestation of the Son was ALSO the manifestation of the Father. In John 6:63, the Lord Jesus reveals IN HIMSELF the divine Spirit of God. And He attaches this Spirit to the words that He spoke. He proclaimed that His words were Spirit and Life. Once again, in the gospel of John, we receive a revelation by the Son of God that is not recorded in the other three gospels. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. (John 6:63)
The revelation of Jesus Christ to Philip was that He, the Lord Jesus, was THE manifestation of BOTH the Son of God AND God the Father. In John Chapter 6, the Lord Jesus clarifies that the words that He spoke were BOTH Spirit and Life, thus, revealing within Him was the Spirit of God IN HIS FULLNESS to complete the revelation of THE FULLNESS OF THE GODHEAD BODILY, that is later revealed in Colossians 2:9 through Paul. When examining the revelation of Jesus Christ, we find that this revelation was given to Christ by God the Father, and through the revelation of Jesus Christ we see the prophetic word of the FULLNESS OF THE GODHEAD BODILY. The words in The Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ were given to show unto His servants things which shortly will come to pass. The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: (Revelation 1:1) There is no doubt that the word of God in its entirety is a complicated complex manuscript from the mind of God. He reminds us in the book of Isaiah that our thoughts (man’s thoughts) are not God’s thoughts.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:7) For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. (Isaiah 55:8) For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9)
So, how do we discern the thoughts of God? It MUST come directly from His Spirit. The Bible is as a complex mechanical part with many gears and shafts. One must begin with the Designer of the instrument, then follow the process in a system of stages: Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, and so on. In this process one looks for error BEFORE the part is manufactured, and ONLY when the facts and figures are satisfied only THEN is this complicated part manufactured. Then, this instrument is run through hundreds of tests and THEN taken apart and examined under microscopes, and hyper digital scanners until ALL is satisfied. Then, the part is ready to be released into the world. When we examine the word of God, we first have to go to the Designer, the Engineer, and we will find that the Engineer and Designer is Divine, and what He created in the word of God is LIVING and BREATHING His very thoughts in the very words which were written by God THROUGH the Living Word of God, Jesus Christ. Has the universe failed? Have the stars fallen from the sky? Has the world kept its orbits? We are witnesses to all these things that God created. Yet, we fail to see or to believe that God, in that same power, has created His word and He has proven it, and He upholds all creation through the word of His power. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; (Hebrews 1:3) God has proved it so that it will not return to Him void, but will accomplish the mind of God, the will of God, the purposes of God, according to His divine counsels and foreknowledge.
● For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. (Isaiah 55:8)
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9)
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: (Isaiah 55:10)
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)
● Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
Now the reality . . . for more than four hundred years the word of God has gone out from the pages of the King James Bible. These living words have been sent out throughout the whole world and it has accomplished and IS accomplishing that which God has sent it to do. He has proven it as the written word of God given to us by the Living Word of God and it has WELL accomplished what God sent it to do, and God is still sending it out all over the world. They have lied about the King James Bible, they have torn pages from it, they have burned it, they have tried to falsify it, they have kicked it and trampled it BUT its Author holds the keys of eternal life. The Bible is truly the book of God’s remembrance including His determinate counsels and foreknowledge of the future.

The Call to Remember
But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; (Hebrews 10:32)
I Remember When . . .
As we see the word of God as the voice and Spirit of God, the book of Hebrews is another example of the very voice of the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God calls the children of God to remember. Our remembrances are very important in the structure of our spiritual life in the Almighty God. In our remembrances we will see the Supernatural God working behind the scenes, bringing to pass His will and purpose in our lives. In these remembrances, the child of God will understand why they were there at the exact time, why the message of that day was so important, and the heart or hearts that it touched. Therefore, I remember . .
I remember one morning. It was about 3:00 a.m. traveling through Wichita Falls, Texas, in a 1971 Plymouth Valiant pulling an overloaded U-Haul trailer. The traffic was light and just before we reached the highest point on a bridge, the car suddenly stopped working . . . we came to a complete dead stop . . . and very slowly I carefully managed to coast the car backward (which was not an easy feat with an overloaded trailer especially when your vehicle is powerless). I remembered that just before we approached the bridge, I had noticed a narrow-unmarked exit dirt road which I thought at the time that it was unusual to have an unmarked dirt road leading on and off of an Interstate. So, with God’s guiding hand we coasted backwards and downward turning into the dark small exit road and there we eventually stopped coasting. I looked at my wife and said, We are here for a reason.
We didn’t have a long wait because the reason appeared as a dark solitary tired form of a man slowly approached our vehicle. Walking home after his night shift was a man obviously weary and drained. I remember saying to my wife, Here’s the reason. As I got out of the car, I introduced myself to the stranger with the words, we’ve been waiting for you. After offering to share with him from our hot thermos, I explained why God had brought me to this place and time, and slowly and methodically I gave him the gospel of my Sovereign Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. I lost track of time as he attentively listened, making thoughtful comments and in a humble manner he asked questions. Our time together had come to an end and the man asked me how I knew that meeting him there and then was God’s purpose. Then I told him the impossible circumstances that had stopped us on the bridge, and said to him, You don’t coast backwards without power with a U-Haul trailer and keep it straight, yet, that’s exactly what happened. He asked me what went wrong with the car, and I replied that it was either the ignition or the fuel pump. He informed me of an auto parts store just about a mile away within walking distance. Thanking him, we parted with a hand shake never to see each other again in this life.
It was the fuel pump, which I purchased at the auto parts store. As I was talking with the clerk, a friendly customer asked me if I needed a ride back to my wife and car. During the ride, I made sure that this man also heard the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. At the car, we talked for a few minutes, I tried to pay for my ride, but he refused and said that my words were payment enough. I replaced the fuel pump and continued on our way to Colorado where we made more remembrances . . . some bad memories and some good memories . . . such as sharing a meal and tea with a Japanese cowboy (learning the skills and language of ‘cowboying’) dressed completely in white (there is also more to this remembrance, but maybe for another time . . . a hardened rebellious young man running from the law and wanted in many states followed and stalked us across the country . . . a Shoshone family graciously sharing their food with us . . . struggling to exit our vehicle as we began to quickly slide on wet slick clay into a storm ravaged creek below us . . . held at gunpoint and forced to accept a large sum of money . . . yup, that’s right, ACCEPT . . . giving the gospel freely and without charge can sometimes take a strange twist . . . that was just a few of the remembrances and there is more, so many more remembrances.
This is what the apostle Paul tells us by the Spirit of God in Hebrews 10:32, But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions. It is not JUST the works that you do, it is the works that you do in the Spirit that is in the value of eternity. A message given in the flesh is of the flesh, earthly for a message given in the Spirit has the heavenly seal upon it. There have been many good remembrances and there have been hard remembrances for God has been molding us for eternity. All these things have to come to pass, to BUILD, to construct, and to seal our most holy faith.
The moment when we were both saved through God’s grace through faith, God began to prepare us for remembrances. We have seen all disappear three times. Three times we began over again from scratch, with nothing, zip, nada. We have learned to be abased, eating lettuce and radishes and sharing one tea bag for a week . . . well, that’s another remembrance. Sleeping on a hard cold wooden floor in the back of a U-Haul truck taking turns staying awake . . . dividing one sandwich among the three of us: my wife, our dog and I . . . the paper clip that kept the car engine running . . . surviving one week during the Great Blizzard of 1978 in a snow bound cabin built for summer use only until someone realized we were missing . . . the two popsicle sticks that got us home safely . . . what remembrances, but all the while and all the time, the Lord stood with us both in fullness and in emptiness . . . for whither thou goest, I will go.
At the present time, God has given us a ministry to the world, more than I could ever hope for, for I have learned that the Lord even uses a voice of a mule (to be polite) and my wife would agree with that mule statement. We are not sufficient for these things, but by the power of God and His word, we are called to suffer afflictions of the world, which are many. Our great fight of afflictions comes not only in the loss of all material goods, but also in physical afflictions, some brought on by self, and some brought on by the enemies of the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have suffered from both. Yet, even at the lowest point, when Satan was doing all to stop us through the doctrines of men, and their traditions, and through the rudiments of the world, we stood in the armor of God and He stood by our side. You cannot stop the glorious gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We were instructed in our salvation which the Spirit of God put within us . . . Do not trust man, nor man’s traditions, nor man’s organizations. Do not surrender to man for the Lord instilled in us that we do not belong to man or even to ourselves for we belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. So, I hope, that our personal little remembrances will encourage you to remember the great things that He has done in your journey through this world. Let us therefore write a book of remembrances for all eternity, as both my wife and I many times turn the pages of our book of remembrances in our pathway home. The Lord has taught us to put our hands in His hands and He will lead us safely home to that glorious city that is above, the Jerusalem of God. Amen. Selah. May the good Lord bless and keep you and give you many remembrances.
