The Witness of the Holy Ghost – Hebrews Chapter 10, verses 15 – 18 –

The Witness of the Holy Ghost
Hebrews 10:15 – 18

Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. (Hebrews 10:15 -18)

The Jewels in the Pathway

Hebrews Chapter 10 is a Chapter with many facets in the jewel of redemption through Jesus Christ our Lord, and verses 15 – 18 is no exception. Remember our journey in verse 1 of Hebrews Chapter 10. We had Good Things to Come. For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. From this first verse of Chapter 10 we have been traveling the path of righteousness picking up jewels on the way. Now from the dust of this world of sin, we behold another jewel of the heavenlies, another jewel in the diadem, the crown of Christ, and once more, it is the testimony, the voice of the Holy Ghost who is a witness of God of good things to come.
The Holy Ghost is mentioned five (5) times in the book of Hebrews. The Holy Ghost is mentioned ninety (90) times and only in the New Testament. Every witness of the Holy Ghost in the New Testament is following the path of faith with the witness of divine gifts. It is the very voice of the Holy Spirit, the immutability of His will, and the manifestation of His Person through the word of God. The witness of His voice is a witness of Himself. Although the Holy Ghost is not mentioned in the holy scriptures in the Old Testament, this same Spirit spoke to the Old Testament prophets, for that Spirit was within them. It was the Holy Ghost who put the words in the mouth of Jeremiah in 1:9. Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. It was the Holy Ghost who spoke to the fathers through the Spirit to the prophets, and thus, giving us the prophecy of this new covenant in Jeremiah 31: 31 – 34.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: (Jeremiah 31:31) Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: (Jeremiah 31:32) But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. (Jeremiah 31:31) And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. (Jeremiah 31:34)

The foreknowledge of God is linked directly to the determinate counsels of God in Acts Chapter 2. God SPOKE through these prophets as He gave them the divine words of good things to come. The words of Jeremiah told the Old Testament saints that the conditional covenant that they were under would pass away and a new covenant would be given to the house of Israel. We know, today, that this greater covenant is here in the highest Himself. The word covenant is mentioned in 292 verses in the Bible. This should interest our curiosity and pull at the strings of our hearts.
The first covenant that is mentioned was to Noah and to the earth, and God SEALED THAT covenant with the bow that is around His sovereign throne. The bow in the sky would be a witness to mankind of this covenant that was made with Noah AND with the earth. However, in Hebrews Chapter 11:4, we are told that the blood of Abel yet speaketh. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. And we also know that Abel’s faith was SEALED in a blood sacrifice to God for Abel, in times past, entered into the better covenant that we enjoy today in the one offering of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So, the first man of faith (Abel) was in the foreknowledge of God under the new covenant SEALED by the blood of God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Everlasting Covenant

In the book of Hebrews, in the last Chapter, God the Holy Spirit brings forth the everlasting covenant. This is the covenant of Chapter 10, and Abel’s faith comes in Chapter 11, verse 4. Now for Abel to be seen as righteous before God, Abel had to enter into the everlasting covenant. Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, (Hebrews 13:20). God, in His foreknowledge and His determinate counsels, purposed in His plan of redemption an everlasting covenant BEFORE it was given. This covenant was prepared BEFORE the world was. In all fifteen (15) mentions of the everlasting covenant in the Bible, fourteen (14) of them are in the Old Testament, and only once is in the New Testament in Hebrews 13:20. This covenant is SEALED by a greater than Abel, Noah, or Moses, or David, or Solomon, or Jeremiah, or Ezekiel, or John the Baptist. The everlasting covenant came in the Person and fulfilled in that Person, the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. In the book of Hebrews, we have the covenant of Chapter 8, and this is the same covenant of Chapter 10, and they are both contained in the everlasting covenant.
The word everlasting is not born out of man’s conception. Only God could give a word that is without end; for instance, in the book of Psalms, God gives this phrase three (3) times: everlasting TO everlasting.

1. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou [art] God. (Psalm 90:2)

 2. But the mercy of the LORD [is] from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children; (Psalm 103:17)

3. Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD. (Psalm 106:48)

In these three mentions, the only three in the Bible, we see the depth of the word everlasting. This is difficult for the heart of man, for man is temporal, and ONLY with the everlasting covenant can man be embraced with everlasting life, and the everlasting covenant is confirmed in the Son of God.
In Hebrews Chapter 13, it is the last mention of the everlasting covenant because it has been fulfilled and ratified in the Testator of Hebrews Chapter 9 in the Lord Jesus Christ. When we examine Chapter 8 and the covenant THERE, and the covenant IN Chapter 10, although they are one and the same in Jesus Christ, there are sharp differences. In Chapter 8, the covenant is to the house of Israel, which will be fulfilled at the second coming of the Lord Jesus. Chapter 10 speaks of His present people, the Body of Christ, in the SAME everlasting covenant. Here is the point: the eighth (8th) Chapter takes in the earth, and a later time. The tenth (10th) Chapter takes in the heavenly for we have entered within the veil. The earth is the possession of Israel back to the promises made to Abraham. The heavens are for US today in the Body of Christ. We are joined to the Man at God’s right hand. (Has He heard from you lately?)

The Conditional Earthly Covenant

In Chapter 8 of Hebrews, we see the passing away of the first covenant given to Israel. This was the covenant of God given to Israel through Moses. God put His Spirit within Moses and he became the mediator between God and man. It was Moses, under the command of God, who brought the nation of Israel out of Egypt. He led them through the great sea of death, the Red Sea. And as Pharaoh and his hosts pursued after this yet unborn new nation, waiting to give birth, the enemy, both horse and rider drowned in the great sea of death, and all of the opposition were silenced in the waters of death. The Red Sea opened to show the power of God, and the might of His right hand. He parted the waters and held the waters at bay until Israel was safely out of the womb. Although the red dragon tried to terminate the birth, God would not give Satan the victory, for the promises that He made to Abraham cannot be quenched. As He promised, so shall it be . . . and through God’s creatorial power, He created a NEW NATION for Himself.

But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. (Isaiah 43:1)
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.(Isaiah 43:2)
For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. (Isaiah 43:3)
Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. (Isaiah 43:4)
Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; (Isaiah 43:5)
I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; (Isaiah 43:6)
Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. (Isaiah 43:7)

Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. (Isaiah 41:9) Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10)

Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. (Isaiah 41:15)

Ye are my witness neither shall there be after me. (Isaiah 43:10) I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. (Isaiah 43:11)

Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel. (Isaiah 44:23) Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; (Isaiah 44:24)

This nation that was led out of Egypt and came forth out of the womb of God’s creation, was to carry His name INTO ALL the earth. They were given a CONDITIONAL covenant based on obedience to the most high God, Creator of heaven and earth. All the blessings to Israel were based on their obedience to the Law and commandments of God. In this conditional covenant they were given an earthly priesthood and ordinances of sacrifice to cover their trespasses against God.
The day of atonement was the day that all the trespasses of the nation were brought before God and the blood of the offering was placed on the mercy seat. It was through God’s mercy that Israel was not completely consumed. God provided those ordinances and sacrifices because God knew the heart of man. Sadly, the nation of Israel showed the true nature of Adam, and they brought on judgment through their own disobedience. Although the Lord was long suffering as He was in the day of Noah, and this is the same character of the world today. It is only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that man can enter into God’s rest. God saw the nation of Israel as two groups: those of faith, and those of disobedience.

Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: (Romans 9:6) Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. (Romans 9:7)

For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. (Galatians 4:22) But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. (Galatians 4:23) Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. (Galatians 4:24) For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. (Galatians 4:25) But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. (Galatians 4:26) For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. (Galatians 4:27) Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. (Galatians 4:28) But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. (Galatians 4:29) Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. (Galatians 4:30) So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. (Galatians 4:31)

Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, (Hebrews 3:7) Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: (Hebrews 3:8) When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. (Hebrews 3:9) Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. (Hebrews 3:10) So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) (Hebrews 3:11)

Israel continued in a downward path until there was no remedy; then the glory of the Lord departed. That earthly covenant was given to the house of Israel as an earthly covenant for an earthly people, and in Chapter 8 of Hebrews, we see Israel under a new covenant for the old covenant is passed away. However, Israel will not enjoy the new covenant until she looks on Him whom she had pierced in the fullness of time. Israel and those who crucified the Lord Jesus (the Gentiles) will have to look upon the Lord of glory and they will wail as they are smitten in their hearts by God Almighty.

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. (Revelation 1:7)
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. (Zechariah 12:10)

When the Lord Jesus comes to gather His earthly people, at His second coming, the people of Israel will be gathered out of every nation from the east, from the west, from the south, and from the north. This is all foretold in the books of the Old Testament especially in the book of Isaiah, who was both prophet and priest.

The Two-Prong Covenant United by the Blood of the Testator

The fullness of time in Galatians Chapter 4:4 is the gathering of all things in Jesus Christ, past, present and future. But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law. The fullness of time embraces the New Testament in a two-prong covenant. Chapter 8 of Hebrews is for Israel and Chapter 10 is for the saints of the Church. All those of faith back to Abel are brought into the fullness of time in Jesus Christ. They could not be made perfect until the Son of God fulfilled the work of redemption in the fullness of time on the cross. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: (Hebrews 11:39) God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. (Hebrews 11:40) In Chapter 10 in the book of Hebrews we have already seen many good things to come, but they are all based on the offering of Jesus Christ. They are all based on His sacrificial death on the cross of Calvary. These were the words of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Old Testament, I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. (Isaiah 43:11) I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God. (Isaiah 43:12) We miss so much in the book of Isaiah, not only for Israel, but for ourselves in our day and age. The God of the beginning changes not and Christ declared in Revelation 3:14 that He and He alone is the beginning of the creation of God; thus, taking us back to the God of creation in Genesis 1:1. And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; (Revelation 3:14) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1) Why can’t man get these truths through his thick sin? that God was manifested in the flesh as the COMPLETE GODHEAD: Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Jesus Christ was NOT a partial God, but God HIMSELF IN Jesus Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. Man (because of his inherent sin) wants to create a God for himself, even with the Lord Jesus Christ. He wants Jesus Christ to be half Adam and have GodMan. He was not a metamorphosis, but a manifestation of God IN the flesh. The voice of Christ in the book of Isaiah proclaimed that He WAS and IS the ONLY God, and that there is no other God beside Him. It is Christ who can say that ‘I am the fullness of the Godhead bodily.’ For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. (Colossians 2:9) The Spirit of God in Colossians Chapter 1, clearly stated that Christ is the image of the invisible God. Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: (Hebrews 1:15) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: (Hebrews 1:16) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (Colossians 1:17)

In Hebrews 1:3, Christ is declared to be the brightness of God’s glory, the express image of God, God’s Person. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; (Hebrews 1:3)

The express image is proven by His manifestation before man and His manifestation is proven by the word of God. Let’s take a small break, look at both of your hands, spread your fingers, and then lock your hands together, and bend your hands and look at the very root of your fingers, can you see any light? I can’t with mine. Now notice how your fingers are locked together, consider your left hand as the Old Testament, and your right hand as the New Testament. Look how solidly they are locked together. This is the word of God. Every letter, every word, every sentence, every verse, every chapter, every book is locked together from Genesis 1:1 to the last witness of God in the Revelation of God in 22:21. Now, looking again, at your fingers, what unlocks the word of God to your heart, soul, and spirit? It is the embryo of faith, this seed plants the Holy Spirit within the heart when anyone believes with a sincere heart in the Lord Jesus Christ. And as the seed grows within the womb, so faith grows in the power of the Spirit of God. Faith is not stagnant. Faith allows us to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ through the deep springs of everlasting life within the divine word of God. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) The same was in the beginning with God. (John 1:2)

Through faith we enter in, not only to the presence, but within the divine nature. We become one with Christ by His Spirit. As we float over the word of God line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, and there a little, we behold the glories of the Lord and in our hearts, we see the glory of God in the face of the Lord Jesus Christ: all proven by the word of God, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The divine sphere and the divine Person cannot be proven by traditions of men, nor by vain philosophies, nor by the rudiments of the world.
So, we look into these two chapters and we see that it is as a  two-prong covenant; in Hebrews Chapter 8 it is to the nation of Israel, not yet fulfilled, and in Chapter 10, the covenant is revealed in us, the children of God, who desire the sincere milk of the word, that we may grow thereby, and travel on and grow in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ until the word of God becomes meat on our bone and sinew of faith.
I want you to also notice that between Chapters 8 and 10 that we have a center piece of peace. It is the blood of the Testator in Chapter 9 of Hebrews. How the most holy lays it down for us . . . He divides these two Chapters and then draws them together in the precious blood of the Testator, Jesus Christ, in Chapter 9. How many have missed this unity in the word of God? In Chapter 9 of Hebrews, the Spirit of God magnifies the blood of Christ in verse 14. How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Here we see the purging of His blood, and the unity of bringing us to God for He has made peace unto God FOR us THROUGH His precious blood. Colossians 1:20 magnifies the blood of His cross, not only has He reconciled US to God, but He has reconciled ALL things unto Himself by that blood of Hebrews 9:14. And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. (Colossians 1:20)

The Testator and Minister of the Covenant

Now let’s dive deeper into the springs of living water. The Spirit of God records in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John the brightness of God’s glory of Hebrews 1:3. This glory was REVEALED on the holy mount to Peter, James, and John which were confirmed by Peter in 2nd Peter 1:16-18.

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. (2nd Peter 1:16) For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (2nd Peter 1:17) And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. (2nd Peter 1:18)

Christ is the eternal and infallible link between heaven and earth.

Christ had taken Peter, James and John to the holy mount which was Sinai where both Moses and Elijah returned at the moment of the Lord’s transfiguration. It was God in His glory in the fullness of the Godhead bodily in Jesus Christ. “I, only I, am God” appeared to these three disciples. Many have said that the mount of transfiguration does not appear in the gospel of John, however, there is a witness of this event in John Chapter 1, the Spirit of God declared, We beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten Son in the bosom of the Father. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14) No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. (John 1:18) There is another witness of mount Sinai when Peter proclaimed, Let us make three tabernacles. Thus, the Spirit of God takes us back to mount Sinai and to the tabernacle in the wilderness. And then another witness: a cloud came over them and a voice from heaven declared, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. May I remind you of the cloud over mount Sinai when God spoke to the children of Israel, and the cloud that directed them through the wilderness as they journeyed toward the land of promise. These are the mysteries of God weaving the words together to show us all His glory in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is Christ revealed IN us that draws us into the bosom of the Father. Christ is the eternal and infallible link between heaven and earth. He is the God of creation for He has created heaven and earth. And all that is therein. He created it for His own good pleasure. There has only been one Body prepared for Him. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: (Hebrews 10:5)

There was only ONE OFFERING of that Body, and He offered it on the day of atonement for the SINS of the whole world. His blood, the blood of the Testator SEALED the everlasting covenant for both Israel and the Church. Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, (Hebrews 13:20) Israel’s covenant will be fulfilled after those days. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: (Hebrews 8:10) And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness. (Zechariah 8:8) Although this covenant will be ratified in the future when this same Jesus will come again to raise up His people Israel from the dead. He will gather ALL Israel, the true Israel of God under the everlasting wings. Isaiah 63 shows the Lord of salvation coming to defeat all of His foes and to embrace Jacob, and to draw Israel into the bonds of His love, and to shed His glory upon them. They will look on Him whom they had pierced, and the scales will fall from their eyes, and God declares that ALL nations, ALL kindred will wail because of Him. We should see this today in the Church, but the Church has passed long ago from the love of God. They left their first love. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. (Revelation 2:4) Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. (Revelation 2:5) We have a treasure within these two verses: our tears should flow because of Him. The Church of Ephesus left the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. They turned their backs on the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
In the book of Exodus, the candlestick was the light within the entire tabernacle. The candlestick was beaten from one pure piece of gold. It was not 99.9% pure, but it was 100% pure gold with no dross in the gold. And each part of this candlestick bore His name. The branches were his branches, the knops were his knops, the almonds were his almonds, the bowls were his bowls. And thou shalt make a candlestick [of] pure gold: [of] beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same. (Exodus 25:31) Notice another mystery of God, remember that I told you that the word of God is woven into one divine tapestry of the revelation of God in Jesus Christ. Five (5) times the word his is mentioned in Exodus 25:31 and when we go forward to the book of Revelation, Chapter 2, verse 5 we see the candlestick again referred to as HIS place, Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Although there are seven (7) candlesticks given to the seven churches, the number seven (7) is the completion of that same candlestick in the book of Exodus that speaks solely of the Savior Jesus Christ. For in the gospel of John, in the first Chapter, John stated that IN Christ was life and that life was the light of man; thus, showing that Christ, in His Person, is the true light and glory of God. And when the Lord Jesus returns, He will return in the brightness of His glory, and both Jew and Gentile will see the wickedness of their own hearts, and they will weep because of Him, whom BOTH Jew AND Gentile pierced. You and I have not escaped the wickedness of our own sin. It was OUR sin that drove the nails through the Lord Jesus into the cross. It was OUR sin that buffeted Him and smote Him with rods. OUR sin drove the crown of thorns into His brow. OUR sin mocked Him and put Him to an open shame. OUR sin denied God and mocked Him on the cross. OUR sin pierced His holy side. Guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty. . . we are seven times guilty; yet God paid the price of OUR guilt by ONE OFFERING of His beloved Son FOREVER in ONE Body on the tree in ONE blood of eternity.

The Covenant AFTER THOSE DAYS

In Hebrews Chapter 8, the Spirit of God begins by drawing the sum of those things that went before, we enter into a new priesthood under Melchisedec, the Son of God who is a Priest made higher than the heavens. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; (Hebrews 7:26) And this Melchisedec is a Priest forever, yesterday, today and forever. It was the highest Himself who came to tabernacle among man to bring His shield of salvation to as many as who would believe on Him. And now He continues His great high priesthood over the true Tabernacle of God. He is a divine Priest within the sanctuary, a Minister of the covenant for both Jew and Gentile wherefore, the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us. For after that, He said before in Jeremiah 31:31 – 34.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: (Jeremiah 31:31)
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: (Jeremiah 31:32)
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. (Jeremiah 31:33)
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. (Jeremiah 31:34)

Now do not get confused. Let’s take one thing at a time. In Chapter 8 of Hebrews, it is a specific covenant that God will make with Israel, AFTER THOSE DAYS. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: (Hebrews 8:10) We see that the covenant with Israel will be ratified AFTER THOSE DAYS when the Lord returns to take to Himself the true Israel of God. Now, let go to Chapter 10, verses 19 and 20, Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, (Hebrews 10:19) By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; (Hebrews 10:20) Now, the Holy Ghost takes us into the present day of the apostles which includes us today in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. When the Church is taken out of this world, then the world will no longer be under this covenant.
In our present day, the everlasting covenant allows US to have boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus Christ. This refers to the Holy of Holies in the heavens where the mercy seat of the new covenant is revealed. Now, I will print a portion of Chapter 8 and a portion of Chapter 10.

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: (Hebrews 8:10) And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:11) For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. (Hebrews 8:12) In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. (Hebrews 8:13)

Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, (Hebrews 10:15) This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; (Hebrews 10:16) And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. (Hebrews 10:17) Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. (Hebrews 10:18) Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, (Hebrews 10:19) By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; (Hebrews 10:20) And having an high priest over the house of God; (Hebrews 10:21) Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:22) Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) (Hebrews 10:23)

In Chapter 8 it is the covenant ratified to Israel, and there is a time frame put upon the ratification AFTER THOSE DAYS which can be compared to Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. However, before these things come to pass, the Church must be removed. And a time period called the Tribulation period will commence. At the end of the Tribulation period, Christ will come as the King of kings, and Lord of lords. After He destroys the armies of the nations, He will establish His millennial kingdom of one thousand years under the covenant spoken by Jeremiah.
Another thing that we should consider is the book of Isaiah Chapter 53 that discloses the first coming of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. (Isaiah 53:3) The world hid their faces from Him. He was despised and rejected; by the way, He is also rejected NOW. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. (2nd Thessalonians 2:3) Do not be misled by the religious kingdoms of this world. Their buildings, their administrations, their doctrines, their traditions of men, their vain philosophies, and their vain deceit are following after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ. They are the pied pipers of Christendom leading to hell and not to heaven. The Babylonians have thrown down the wall of righteousness and replaced it with the revolving door of man’s imagination. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (Colossians 2:8) When I write these things many will say with the words of Nicodemus, How can these things be? Man (in Adam) is the center of what is called Christendom. It is totally run by the fallen flimflam man. They have taken over the ministry of Christ and replaced it with Satan’s ungodly ministers who have penetrated into the Church unawares. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:4)
It is no great thing that the world hates our Savior. They have no respect for Him or for His name. The tragedy is that Christendom that bears His name has no concept of whom the Man Christ Jesus is. You cannot ascribe the fulness of the Godhead bodily to Jesus Christ and not admit that He is Sovereign over creation, over time, over man, and over His Church, and that He will display His Sovereignty over His world during His millennial kingdom. In His Sovereignty He is the True Minister of the Sanctuary and the great High Priest after the order of Melchisedec. He is the blood seal of our profession.

The Covenant After Those Days – AFTER TWO DAYS

Seeing the total collapse of spirituality that leads to righteousness in this world, we cry out, Even so, come Lord Jesus. Those who are born of God look around and see that Sodom and Egypt are closing in from all around us. They have come into the treasured things of God and have defiled them as Belshazzar defiled the things from out of the Temple of God in Daniel 5:1 -4.

Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand. (Daniel 5:1) Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein. (Daniel 5:2) Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them. (Daniel 5:3) They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone. (Daniel 5:4)

Belshazzar mocked God and in that very night his kingdom was rent from him because of his debauchery. Little did they all realize that as they praised the gods of this world, their gods could not stop the judgment that was about to fall upon them. As they drank from the holy vessels of God, they were also about to drink from the cup of God’s wrath.
The Lord Jesus speaking of His second coming and of His millennial kingdom proclaimed that no man knows the time of His coming, not even the angels in heaven, that ONLY God the Father knows the time when He will send His Son to fulfill Isaiah 63. As the world and professing Christendom mock the name of Jesus Christ, you need to step aside and study the most worthy name of all: look up name’S sake beginning in Psalm 23 and follow all the name’S sake of the most high God. All these names are finalized in the name above every name given by the Spirit of God, Jesus Christ. This is how the Lord Jesus closes the canon of Scripture. Revelation 22:6 -21.

And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. (Revelation 22:6) Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. (Revelation 22:7) And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. (Revelation 22:8) Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. (Revelation 22:9) And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. (Revelation 22:10) He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. (Revelation 22:11) And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. (Revelation 22:12) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. (Revelation 22:13) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (Revelation 22:14) For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. (Revelation 22:15) I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. (Revelation 22:16) And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. (Revelation 22:17) For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: (Revelation 22:18)And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22:19) He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Revelation 22:20) The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. (Revelation 22:21)

Jesus is mentioned in the portion of scripture three times, it is His closing address to all of mankind and He finalizes His word by the name of Jesus Christ. As those who sit under the word of God week after week and continue in sin using His name, His holy name, as a shield for their blatant sin. They are as the children of Eli, a blind priest sitting on a wall waiting for God to judge, they are men and women of Balial, as Hophni and Phinehas whose end will be the same.
On God’s part, AFTER THOSE DAYS, at the second coming of Christ, He will put His laws into the minds of all Israelites and write them in their hearts. One note: the mind and the heart are united by one’s conscience, they will have a new conscience concerning the things of God. And they will look upon Him whom they have pierced as their God, and God will look upon them as His people. Everyone wants to set a timetable to the second coming of Christ, and all have failed at this point, because only God the Father knows the exact moment in time. However, God does not leave us ignorant of all things. Throughout the entire canon of scripture, He gives us signs and wonders in sundry times and in diverse manners of His second coming. We have a wonderful picture of these times in the book of Hosea, Chapter 6:1 -3.

Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. (Hosea 6:1) After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. (Hosea 6:2) Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. (Hosea 6:3)

Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God. (Hosea 1:9)

This reveals to us of the depth of the failure of Israel that in the days of Hosea God gave them up. He refused them to call on His name, He spewed them out of His mouth as He has done at the end of the Church age, in Laodicea, Revelation 3:13 – 20.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (Revelation 3:13) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; (Revelation 3:14) I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. (Revelation 3:15) So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. (Revelation 3:16) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: (Revelation 3:17) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. (Revelation 3:18) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. (Revelation 3:19) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20)

Side Note: The Bible. The open door is in the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD by THE LIVING WORD OF GOD. The last great testimony that comes to the Church is found in the 6th church of Philadelphia. Here, God the Lord Jesus Christ, sets an open door in the word of God, His anointed book, the LAST TRUTH in written form given to man in the Church Age. His word, His book is as a long crimson thread from the days of Moses to our present day, a PURE thread that cannot be defiled. Overseen through the centuries by the Holy Spirit of God and in His Sovereignty, He has kept the word of God PURE for us today and has opened that door to mankind in the 6th church of Revelation.
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; (Revelation 3:7) I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. (Revelation 3:8)

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (Revelation 3:10) Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. (Revelation 3:11)

Only church where His word is mentioned twice. The Philadelphian church is the ONLY church where we see word. In the time frame of Church history, the age of this 6th church began approximately 1500 – 1600 A.D. (This was within the time frame of the early printing of Bibles.) In the 7th Church of Laodicea there is NO mention of that church holding the word of God FAST until He comes. Holding fast to the word that they had ended with Philadelphia. Although Philadelphia overlays parts of Laodicea, it is ONLY those who have the Spirit of Christ, and REFUSE to leave the Sovereign word of God overseen by the Spirit of God within them. ♦ End of Side Note: The Bible. The open door is in the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD by THE LIVING WORD OF GOD.

In John’s first epistle, the Spirit of God speaks, He is the Authority and He tells those who have the Spirit of Christ within them to try the spirits, whether they be of Christ or not. Laodicea blinded the world through its lust for riches and gain under the name of Jesus Christ, which is an abomination to the Almighty God. Laodicea working with their father the devil performed a spiritual lobotomy on the world and professing Christendom. The translation of the Body of Christ will only come to those, as Enoch, who walked with God, and as Elijah who upheld the word of God. These are two examples of those who will be in the translation and have the mind of Christ. However, the covenant of Israel is manifest to them in the power of His coming in the last days. Again, let us return to the book of Hosea, Chapter 2:18 -23.

And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely. (Hosea 2:18) And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. (Hosea 2:19) I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD. (Hosea 2:20) And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth; (Hosea 2:21) And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel. (Hosea 2:22) And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God. (Hosea 2:23)

(Hosea 6:3)

The Spirit of God gives us a time period when He will raise up Israel. It will be AFTER two days, and at the beginning of the 3rd day. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2nd Peter 3:8) There is a spiritual application and a tangible application. This verse in 2nd Peter sets time from the appearance of Christ in His manifestation. Through that marking of time, the age that we now live in is the beginning of the third day: day one, (0001 to 1001); day two, (1001 -2001), day three (2001 – 3001); thus, that would place us in 2023 in the beginning of the 3rd day.
God also marks time through events based on His time period, not man’s understanding of time. From God’s part then what is the 3rd day? It is the day of resurrection, and it was in the morning of the third day that Christ arose. And when we add 2nd Peter 3:8 to this equation we see a view of time that only belongs to the highest Himself. The Holy Spirit in 2nd Peter 3 begins with the last days. Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts. In verse 3 the Holy Spirit through Peter wants us to stir up our pure minds. This is the mind of Christ of Philippians 2. Peter goes on, by the Spirit of God, concerning the things that the prophets spoke and wrote BY the Spirit of Christ who is the Holy Spirit. This Spirit was IN them. Their minds were conformed to the mind of Christ. We also see what the apostles had commanded, a reference to one of the writings of Paul as he looked into the future by the Spirit of Christ in 2nd Thessalonians, Chapter 2, the Spirit of God wants to stir our minds also with 2nd Thessalonians. 2:2, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
Going back to Peter, the Spirit of God enlightens us that first would come scoffers saying, Where is the promise of coming? Man spends time arguing over the translation and the 2nd coming of Christ because he simply has NO faith in holy scriptures. For the holy word of God to be the eternal word of God, it has to be formed by one stream of everlasting water of life IN the eternal word of God who is the Lord Jesus Christ. This stream of the word of God cannot be diverted or lessened, its power is eternally centered in the scepter of righteousness in the hand of the eternal Word of God on His throne, the Lord Jesus Christ.
When the Lord described His second coming, He gave signs, and He described the condition of the world at the time of His coming. It would be as the days of Noah. Genesis 6:5. It would be as the days of Sodom. Man would debase Himself with all the wickedness of His own flesh, man with men, women with women, children sold into sex slavery in untold numbers, and their lives would be hidden from the public by the willing. Man has become ignorant of the word of God because it details man’s fallen state in His own wickedness and enmity against God. Ninety percent of all theologies in the churches are based on man’s traditions. How do I know this? Because they throw out the word of God and substitute it with an array of the devil’s books of distraction to lessen the sovereignty of the most high God possessor of heaven and earth. Those who adhere to tradition and to man’s interpretation of what he perceives to be corrections in His word have NO divine connection with God. (They do not believe that God has the power to KEEP His word.) They have not become partakers of the divine nature, and without THIS nature, they cannot receive the word of God by the Spirit of Christ. So, now the Holy Spirit in 2nd Peter 3:6 and 7, as the Lord Jesus told us of the days of Noah. Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: (2nd Peter 3:6) But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (2nd Peter 3:7)
The Spirit of God discloses what is going to come upon this ungodly world, then God sets a time period in verse 8. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2nd Peter 3:8) One day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. This can be compared to the language of Galatians 4 that God sent His Son in the fulness of time, a unique time period only given to the life span ON earth to the days of the life of the Lord Jesus Christ which in turn changed ALL of time, past, present, and future.
In Galatians 4, in the Lord’s first coming in the fulness of time remains a mystery to mankind and shamefully also to Christendom. In the beginning of the third day God will raise up Israel. Now, let’s set the time since the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ. With no argument to the dates of the Julian calendar, the Spirit of God is quite capable of communicating time to man. Let’s accept today’s date as 2023. If we divide a day into four simple parts, we come up with night, dawn, sunrise and noon. Dividing a day into four parts: Christ arose at dawn, the beginning of the third day. If we divide a century into four parts, we have 25, 50, 75, and 100. The beginning of the third day would be the first quarter, 25 years. So, the signs of the coming of the Lord is all around us. One could ask, How can it get any worse? Evil abounds within every station of life. The children of the devil have raped the earth, and its political establishments, and even the religions of the world. Every facet of humanity has been touched by the fangs and venom of the devil. The poison of his long awaited One World Order is at the doorstep of time. There are wars, and rumors of countless wars, the earth itself is in turmoil spitting out lava all over the earth. This is a sign of a universal judgment to come over the whole earth. We are on the very brink of God’s judgment, IF not already in the midst of His judgment. The world goes on in its ignorance of God’s divine dealings with them. They think that today will be the same as yesterday, and tomorrow will be the same as today, however, after TWO days, in the BEGINNING of the third day, He will raise up Israel by His eternal power of resurrection with the covenant that He sealed in His own blood. Hebrews 9:14, How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
The nation of Israel is NOW in waiting, although they may not understand God’s purpose, God sees their future and their glory in the second coming of His Son. It will be the day of their resurrection as a nation, as He, on the third day arose from the dead, they also will be brought forth on the third day and given life, as a nation, by the Lord Jesus Christ. As He laid down His own life, and took it again, then He will raise up the nation that He had cast off to be His nation of the covenant. In this, the Lord Jesus will fulfill all the promises and all the blessings that He gave to Abraham when He brought Abraham out of the Chaldees. Soon God will send faith into their hearts to stir them in the direction of righteousness and to see the tragedy of rejecting their Messiah in His first advent. And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God. (Hosea 2:23) This verse will become a reality with the covenant seal in the blood of Hebrews 9:14. God will purge their conscience from dead works to serve the Living God. He will PUT HIS LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS and WRITE THEM IN THEIR HEARTS as in Hosea 2:23, and Hebrews 8:10. You need to see both of these together as the work of the sovereign God, the highest himself will proclaim, I will be their God, and they shall be to me a people.
In Chapter 9 of Hebrews, the Testator, the King of kings, took off His signet ring of deity and sealed the New Testament in the new covenant in His blood and the seal of His ring of never-ending life. This confirms the covenant made for Israel in His blood AFTER THOSE DAYS in Hebrews Chapter 8, the covenant sealed by His blood. One concept that you should see in Chapter 8 is that we have the covenant SEALED with the blood of Christ as the Testator in Chapter 9, and the present covenant with the Church also sealed with the blood of Christ, the blood of the Testator in Chapter 9. Chapter 9 joins Israel to us in the present day, for the gospel is preached to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. This is the everlasting covenant of Hebrews 13:20, Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant.

The Seal of the Everlasting Covenant

This phrase everlasting covenant appears in God’s holy word 15 fifteen times. This phrase is documented fourteen (14) times in the Old Testament, and ONCE in the New Testament, And could it be, yes, you guessed it, in this grand book of God’s purpose and pleasure in His beloved Son. Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, (Hebrews 13:20) Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (Hebrews 13:21) In this one verse we have the Father’s seal, the Son’ seal, and the Spirit’s seal; here is the God of peace putting the Father’s seal upon His Son. Then we have the resurrection of Christ, He proves His own deity, and His own sovereignty over life itself. The world would say, Give us a sign. God says, I have already given you a sign: the resurrection of my beloved Son. Then we have the great shepherd of the sheep, the voice of the Spirit joining Psalm 23 to John 10, and then the finality, the great shepherd of the sheep when He calls out to us, and we hear His voice, and He knows us and we follow Him. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. (John 10:27)

The Spirit of God informs us of the seal of the covenant. It is through His blood that He sealed the everlasting covenant, once for all in the fullness of time. In the Old Testament, the everlasting covenant is documented fourteen (14) times. This is 2 x 7, a witness for Israel and a witness to the Church in the perfection of number seven (7), multiplied twice. The word everlasting NEVER diminishes. It has no beginning and has no end. The word everlasting is a gift to man for in the word everlasting we receive everlasting life in Jesus Christ. It is always everlasting as eternity is always eternal, and forever is always forever, and never ending is always NEVER ending. Eternal is always eternal, and all these words are found in the one book that God anointed with the blood of His dear Son. And all these words are centered and found in the fullness of the Godhead bodily in Colossians 2:9, For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Everlasting, forever, eternal, never ending are unique words that surround the Godhead bodily, man cannot apply these words to himself outside of the Lord Jesus Christ. These words can only be applied to the sheep who He has called by His word.
The words of the Lord Jesus are not held by the spirit of man in this modern age for time has become an obstacle for both Satan and the piranha called man; God has put a spirit of deception into the hearts of world leaders as in the days of the false prophets of Ahab, king of Israel. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. (1st Kings 22:22) Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. (1st Kings 22:23) And as those false prophets of old were willing deceivers, so also those who call themselves leaders in our age of madness are leading this world into the pit of hell at the orders of their boss, Satan. For the children of Satan relentlessly follow their father. (John 8:44)

In our current age we have the grossness of evil men thinking that death is final . . . surprise . . . surprise. Under the everlasting covenant and the shed blood of Christ there is a further covenant of death. It is the seal of the second death for ALL those who have rejected God through Jesus Christ. This second death is more horrid than the first death for it carries with it the final judgment of God in the lake of fire. This will be eternal judgment with NO relief where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth forever.
So, now let us return to the present. If you have the true word of God that is settled in heaven hid in your heart, you will find these verses comforting in these evil days.

LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. (Psalm 119:89)

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Psalm 119:11)

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD. (Psalm 118:17) The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death. (Psalm 118:18) Open to me the gates of  righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD: (Psalm 118:19) This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter. (Psalm 118:20) I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. (Psalm 118:21) The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. (Psalm 118:22) This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. (Psalm 118:23)

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! (Psalm 119:103)

NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Psalm 119:105)

Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart. (Psalm 119:111)

Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. (Psalm 119:140)

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. (Psalm 12:6) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Psalm 12:7)

All these verses magnify the word of God; therefore, we should bear them up before the Almighty God. These words should reach within our hearts and magnify the glory of God IN Jesus Christ who is the possessor of the word of God.

The Covenant to Come by the Everlasting Priest of God

In Hebrews Chapter 8, speaking of the covenant to come regarding Israel, God gives us a time period through the words NOW AFTER THOSE DAYS. This will lead us to Isaiah 66, this entire Chapter in God’s divine word, speak of THOSE DAYS.
AFTER THOSE DAYS God IN Jesus Christ, (the King, the root and offspring of David, the beginning of the creation of God, the bright and morning star, the brilliance of the day star of resurrection) will rise in the hearts of Israel. Israel will be transformed in a moment of time by the Lord of lords, and as King and Priest of the most high God. Melchisedec, the Son of God, under the order and oath and anointing of the oil of gladness will lead them into the Sanctuary as the true and everlasting Priest of the most high God. When it comes to the priesthood of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is a priesthood that He possessed from before time. He is under a distinct order, and He is the order of ONE priesthood in heaven. He is obedient to the oath that He took before His Father. We can see the outcome of that priestly oath in John 17.
Then we have the anointing with the oil of gladness above and beyond ALL others. And these three words: order, oath and anointing can only be applied to Priest and King. In the days of Moses, Aaron was anointed with a holy oil. This oil was set apart and could not be used for any other purpose. Remember that Aaron was the earthly type of the heavenly priesthood that existed above in Melchisedec, the eternal Priest of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. David, the king, was anointed with the oil from the horn of the unicorn which carries with it the mystery and strength of the unicorn. The ONE HORN of the unicorn is HID from us today, so, all the majesty, glory and power unicorn speaks of the ONE King of God’s own choosing, the Lord Jesus Christ, His beloved Son. The strength of the unicorn is seen in the power and majesty of the Lord Jesus Christ as the unicorn and the mystery of Christ seated at the right hand of God is out of the sight of the world.
The prophets, although they were worthy and part of God’s eternal plan, were not anointed with oil, but they were anointed with the Spirit of God for the Spirit of Christ was in them. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: (1st Peter 1:10) Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. (1st Peter 1:11) The Almighty God put His words in their hearts and minds and IN their spirit. And out of their mouths and through their pens they spoke the words of God. Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. (Jeremiah 1:9)
Now Christ, being the eternal Priest and King, was anointed with the oil of gladness, and He sits upon a throne of righteousness, and the scepter of that throne ministers His righteousness to all of His creation. He has been anointed above all His fellows. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. (Hebrews 1:9) He is above all of mankind for He walks among and maintains the candlestick of gold. As it was beaten from ONE piece of gold, so He was beaten by the wickedness of man only to show the divine righteousness within Him and the power that He had over sin, death, and the devil. He has put the incense of His life on the coals of the golden altar, and it ascended up to heaven and throughout the heavens as a sweet savor to God the Father. As a Priest forever, He walked before His Father IN heaven as Aaron walked before the most high God as high priest on earth.
One note: the priesthood and anointing of Aaron came BEFORE the anointing of the king for the divine King MUST be upheld by the righteous scepter of the great High Priest after the order of Melchisedec, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Even through the words of scripture that king David was a man after God’s own heart was a foreshadow of God’s true King and Christ when He was manifested on earth as King of the Jews. In His manifestation, He brought both the Priest and King of heaven to the lowly earth. As His priesthood was masked so also was His kingly position.

The Everlasting Priest and King of God Rejected

Although Isaiah gave a prophecy in 9:6 of a son to be born, at the hour of His coming, they (Israel) knew not their Christ. He was in the world, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and they received Him not. As we look back to His birth, His childhood, His manhood, Isaiah Chapter 53 jumps out from other chapters of God’s holy word. This prophecy of the Messiah’s manifestation was right in front of the Jews and Gentiles, and they could not look upon Him for their eyes were covered with the scales of darkness. They would not believe even the Spirit of truth in God’s holy word in the book of Isaiah when the Holy Spirit of God declared through Isaiah in verse 1, who shall believe our report?
A report is given AFTER an incident, yet the Spirit of God anointed Isaiah with the Spirit of truth giving us the report through the eyes of the foreknowledge of God as a bright light shining in a dark place. The child and son of Isaiah 9:6, will grow up before God His Father as a tender plant with eternal life. He will be the root of Israel for He created this nation. However, at His coming, Israel was a dry ground and had no life within them. His life was not sustained by man, but by God the Father. He was made in the likeness of flesh. His Body was PREPARED for Him to complete the work that was set before Him. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: (Hebrews 10:5)
He was in the likeness of flesh with no form of comeliness. The image of God had laid aside His outward glory to walk among mankind as the Light of God. He came into a dark place to bring both grace and truth with Him. Heaven’s glory was always before Him as He spoke the words of both Spirit and Life. However, man looked on Him and there was no beauty to be seen in Him. They rejected Him, He was the true Stone that the builders disallowed. Although He was the tried Stone, the polished Stone, the Cornerstone of God’s love. He was rejected by man.
The Lord Jesus was a man of sorrows. He wept over Jerusalem, the city of His glory where He had place His holy hill of Zion. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. (Psalm 2:6) He placed His name over this city of God, but when He came to His own, they had defiled His city, His Temple, and His name. In Revelation 11:8, this once great city is called Sodom and Egypt where our Lord was crucified. In the day of Christ, when He was crucified, the city of God had become the city of sin. The Holy Spirit uses BOTH names: Sodom AND Egypt. Sodom was a place of despicable sin, beyond help, and God had to destroy it as He destroyed Herod’s temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. for the sin of the nation of Israel, and for their part in the crucifixion of God’s dear Son.
Egypt was the land of bondage. It was a land of slavery for the children of Jacob. Egypt is one of the first world powers recognized in the Bible and Babylon is another world power. Egypt worshiped the gods of men and put God’s people (from the line of Israel) under the most extreme condition of slavery, so much so, that their cries came up before heaven. It would be that true Christians today would see the bondage of Egypt all around us, and cry out to God, Even so, come Lord Jesus.
Jerusalem did not know their time, they had forsaken the writings of the prophets, and were in denial of the Lord’s first advent. The hour of their visitation had come, and they knew it not.

And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, (Luke 19:41) Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. (Luke 19:42)

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! (Matthew 23:37) Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. (Matthew 23:38) For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. (Matthew 23:39)

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! (Luke 13:34)

Both Satan and Adam, the Jews and the Gentiles, had betrayed God and all of mankind in their generations. Only one could break the shackles of sin that held ALL men in the bondage of death under the Law of Sin and Death. Only ONE who was not tainted with the DNA of Adam, and was NOT of the human race, but a Man from heaven, that holy thing, SENT DOWN by the Father could overcome the bondage of sin and death. He was the only ONE who could stand on God’s holy hill of Zion as both Priest and King. This was the heavenly Man of God’s own choosing, the TRUE heavenly Man after God’s own heart and within God’s heart, This Man of heaven, God’s Priest and King, the ONLY begotten of the Father, the Son of His love, both Jew and Gentile hid, as it were, their faces from Him. They could not look God straight in His eyes, the eyes of burning fire. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire. (Revelation 1:14)
The prophet Isaiah through the voice of the Spirit of God, in the 53rd Chapter of the book of Isaiah, speaks for ALL of humanity under Adam’s sin. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:6) ALL WE, ALL of Adam’s race, ALL born of Adam have gone astray. We have ALL turned to his or her own way. We can only do right in our own eyes, for Adam does not possess the eyes of the Spirit of God. The nations of man have put on vanity and pride, and they have absorbed evil as a sponge. Power is their drug of sin. They love the world as their own dominion. They love the flesh to fulfill their lusts. They love the devil as his own children, and they love his toys of evil and distraction. Yet, the Lord placed on Him, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, the iniquity of us ALL. ALL of US in Adam have sinned and have come short of the glory of God. Those of us in Christ Jesus have been separated from ALL that is of the devil and that which is of Adam. We are NEW creations in Jesus Christ, who is the glory of God. It is Jesus Christ who has ascended into the holy hill of the Lord. It is the Lord Jesus who has clean hands and a pure heart, It is the Lord Jesus who stands in the Holy of Holies in heaven where He placed His blood, the blood of the everlasting covenant, on the heavenly mercy seat in the Temple of God. He has not lifted up His soul to vanity, but GAVE HIS SOUL AS A RANSOM FOR MANKIND. He has not sworn deceitfully, for He brought GRACE AND TRUTH to man, And Jesus Christ the Son of God has received the blessing of the Lord for He poured out His soul unto grief and was satisfied in His finished work on the cross.

Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. (Isaiah 53:12)

Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? (Psalm 24:3) He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. (Psalm 24:4) He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. (Psalm 24:5)

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)

The Everlasting Priest and King of God
Sanctified the Everlasting Covenant

Although Israel had desecrated the holy hill of Zion with their sin, Christ on the cross, in the holiness and righteousness of His heart, soul and Spirit consecrated mount Zion while on Calvary’s cross for the future millennial kingdom. When the Lord Jesus, the Son of God, fulfilled the righteousness of God on the cross, He sanctified the everlasting covenant by both His Body and His blood. In relationship to His Father, He pleased the God of His salvation in the finished work on the cross of Calvary. This is not the gift of salvation that we receive, but the ownership of salvation. I AM the ONLY Savior, no one else can OWN salvation except it is given by God the Father THROUGH His Son, Jesus Christ.

Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. (Isaiah 45:21)

I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. (Isaiah 43:15)

Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. (Isaiah 53:10) Now before the soul of the Holy One was made an offering for sin the Lord Jesus wept while in the garden. As Adam brought sin into a garden, Christ was in the garden to take away the sin of the world. He sweat, as it were, great drops of blood over that sin of Adam. This was a foreshadow of the blood on the cross uniting the blood of the garden that was shed for Adam and the coats of the two victims placed on both Adam and Eve as a covering for that which was to come. Those drops of blood in the garden when Christ wept are joined to the blood and water that flowed from His side anointing and ratifying the everlasting covenant symbolized by both His flesh in the water, and the sanctification through His flesh of the washing of the water, and the blood of sanctification found in the book of Hebrews in Chapter 9 and Chapter 12. Let’s return to the garden of grace . . .

And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, (Luke 22:41) Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. (Luke 22:42) And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. (Luke 22:43) And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. (Luke 22:44) And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, (Luke 22:45)

It was there that Christ poured out His soul to God the Father. His soul was then in grief, He knew what laid before Him as He lifted up His eyes to God in John 17 which is connected to Luke 22 by the Spirit of God. As the cross laid before Him, He could take all the abuse from man, all the mocking, jeering, and the vicious beating, even His own crucifixion, but the hardest thing of all was the cup of sin from the hand of His Father. It was there when the cup of sin was poured over Him that He experienced the travail of His soul. His soul turned within Him, but in the mysteries of God what transpired brought forth the joy that was set before Him.

He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. (Isaiah 53:11)

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)

In the travail of a woman giving birth, there are two parts: the early pain and then the joy that a child is born. In the garden, we see the early pain of the heart of Christ, and the early travail of His soul, for on the cross, He shall see His seed that was born out of the travail of His soul AND BE SATISFIED. In Luke 22, we see the unity of heaven and earth in the Son conversing with the Father in His grief, and then the Father of Lights and Perfection sent an angel from heaven to strengthen Him. I do not understand all these things, but Christ spoke in the Old Testament of His own angel, the angel of His presence, and I believe that it was this angel, that is a mystery to us as humans. He came to share the burden and to strength the Lord of glory in the time of His travail. It was THIS cup of sin from Adam and all his descendants that was before the Lord Jesus Christ, and this CUP of sin took in what transpired at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil where the Law of Sin and Death was fulfilled and would continue until there will be time no longer.
It is the Christ of the garden and the Christ of the cross who fulfilled the will of His Father that redemption should be made available to man freely in God’s love by the atonement of His beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ in His own flesh, the Body that was prepared for Him, became the gate of heaven in His sacrificial death. The Door of salvation was opened for ALL of mankind. And ALL of mankind could be made FREE from the Law of Sin and Death by the Spirit of Life which is IN Christ Jesus our Lord. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2) As the Door of salvation, He was the SENT ONE, the only begotten of the Father FULL of grace and truth. Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. (Hebrews 1:4) For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? (Hebrews 1:5)

In Hebrews 1:4 and 5 we have the divine authority of the Son of God as the only begotten of the Father, He is the Son of the highest, and therefore, He is filled with ALL the power, majesty and glory of the highest, both as the Man in heaven for us and the Man Jesus Christ who sojourned among us as the Savior of the whole world. In Hebrew 1: 4, 5, it is the Spirit of grace speaking to us concerning God’s beloved.
The heavens witnessed at the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ; the words glory to God in the highest speaks of His eternal realm. When the Lord Jesus stood by the Jordan, God spoke from heaven, This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. When Christ was transfigured on God’s holy mountain, again the heavens opened and the voice from above declared, This is my beloved Son, hear ye him. In Chapter 17 of the gospel of John we have both the glory of the Father and the glory of the Son mingled together in all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and this love wherewith the Father loved the Son, Christ expressed that it would be shed upon His own. And then in Hebrews Chapter 1, to bring in the fullness of the Godhead bodily, we have the witness of the Spirit of God, the Spirit of grace and peace. As Christ walked amongst man, He was oppressed by man, they mocked Him many times, they afflicted Him, and yet He opened not His mouth. For what man could not see was that the real battle was against sin and iniquity of both man and Satan.
Christ came to remove the old, and to make one new man in Himself’; therefore, we are born into His Body by His Spirit, and we are adorned by life everlasting. As we know from the holy word of God in all of its purity, we now have a Man in heaven for us who has sat down at the right hand of God until ALL of His enemies will be subdued and made to be His footstool. The wickedness of mankind reached its pinnacle when they brought the Lamb to the slaughter, they were the butchers who brought the lamb to be slain. Philippians Chapter 2 informs us that Christ humbled Himself, that He became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. He who had all power of creation and could dissolve any particle of that creation submitted Himself to the ungodly trial before the Jews, and then as the cock crowed three times at the denial of Peter, it was also the dawn of the new day and Christ would then be taken to Pilate and then he would be taken to Herod and then the last trial, He would be returned to Pilate. The first trial before Pilate took place in the judgment hall. John 18:28, Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover. In the finality of this gross miscarriage of justice, the last voice, the voice of Pilate, took place from the seat of the Beast, the judgment seat of man. Later on in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, Antipas, as Stephen, was slain for the testimony of Jesus Christ and for the word of God. It was at the same seat of judgment, the seat of Satan that had come in among the righteous in his continued effort to destroy the Body of Christ.

I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. (Revelation 2:13)

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. (Revelation 13:2)

As we work backwards from Revelation 13:2 to that seat of judgment of Pilate, they are all united by sin, death, and iniquity, and they are all ruled by their master, Satan. The seat of Satan has always condemned the righteous. We see that same seat working every day throughout the world by sinful man who have taken the authority to judge others and use it as a weapon against the righteous. However, there is another throne of judgment, a JUST JUDGMENT SEAT, and when it is revealed, both the earth and the heaven will flee away. There will be no place found for those who have judged the righteous unjustly. For every one who denies God will stand at God’s great white throne.

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. (Revelation 20:11) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (Revelation 20:12) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (Revelation 20:13) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (Revelation 20:14) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15)

When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. (John 19:13)

As I have previously related, man has always lacked true justice because the justice systems of this world are made of unjust man. The courts of this world, throughout the entire history of mankind, have made a mockery of justice and truth. Today, in 2023, they have revealed themselves as the ministers of Satan against the just and against all truth. They scheme behind closed doors to pervert their own justice as Pilate. Under Roman law, Pilate had NO authority to convict or judge the innocent, and yet we see the travesty of the joint conspiracy by Jew and Gentile, of the Jewish leaders and the representatives of Rome in both Pilate and Herod. Pilate and Herod perverted the law of Rome for their own political purposes. And although prior they had been enemies, they stood united in the conviction and judgment upon a holy and righteous God. Pilate was even warned, when he received a note from his wife that she had suffered many things in a dream concerning this man Jesus. When the Holy Ghost could not stir the heart of Pilate, He stirred up the heart of Pilate’s wife to inform her husband not to have anything to do with this just man.
It used to be called, blind justice, but instead of a veil over the eyes of justice today, she wields the sword of perverted justice. How could man in his sinful condition, and hatred and denial against the everlasting God be suited to meter out true justice. As the Jews cried out for the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ, we see in the hearts of world ‘leaders’ the enmity of all that is against the Almighty God. Justice has been completely overturned and the world now sits upon the judgment seat of Satan in all of his perversions. The whirlpool of man’s iniquity spins faster and faster and deeper and deeper into the souls of mankind where governments are willing to destroy their own people in their insanity, the insanity of their ‘leaders.’

January 6th was the consent of all of our government leaders against the people that they are supposed to represent. They showed no effort to correct the fraudulent election to put an imposter into the white House, and they have continued their wickedness in the unification of both Republicans and DemocRATS against the True President, Donald J. Trump. As the Jews raised up false witnesses against the Lord Jesus Christ, we see the very same iniquity in our own government and legal system. As you follow through the scriptures the trial of Jesus Christ, you will see the similarities in our courts of justice of our age. What has happened in our country with the overthrow of our republic has happened many times in the history of mankind. Many times, God has given the government that sinful people deserve, and yet, the people themselves will not open their eyes to their own sin and iniquity.
God has given His word as a GUIDE of life, He desires that ALL man would live justly. The commandment of ‘love thy neighbor as thyself’ is part of God’s directive to ALL of mankind. And although, Adam brought sin into the world, and death by sin, God gave a plan of redemption openly to man, ALL man, through the infallible word of God. God has given us a constructive word to benefit us and to bless us, however, Satan has a play book that has never been revealed by him to man, because he is the spirit of darkness. There is a unity between man and Satan, they are bound together by sin and iniquity; so, united they deceive the people. The ‘leaders’ of the world, write and follow the play book of Satan to put his man, the man of sin, the Beast on Satan’s seat in control over the whole world.
When Judah, in their sin against God had reached the point of no return, then there was no remedy. The Babylonians went to Judah and took away their king Zedekiah. They also took all of his children and killed them in front of Zedekiah, then his eyes were put out. The last thing that Zedekiah saw was the death of the kingdom of David, for all of Zedekiah’s prosperity was slain before him. This is the exact temperament of government today. After Zedekiah there would be no legitimate heirs sitting on the throne, only pretenders would later sit upon the throne appointed by evil men and world powers. Israel was DONE. The kingdom had fallen. They had perverted God’s law. They had forsaken their God. They had forsaken justice and truth, and had completely turned to the gods of gold and silver, wood and stone. They denied and killed the prophets of God until there was NO REMEDY. Today we live in a spiritual desert. There is no water of life. Preachers and pastors and so-called servants are servants of man and not servants of God. Faith has been erased by the traditions of man, and money, and filthy lucre has taken the place of the Spirit of God. We live in a barren land. And there are very few oases of truth. All the apostles and the early servants of Christ suffered for their devotion to their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So to anyone out there who is walking by faith, do not be consumed by the world order of iniquity. It is our turn to stand for Jesus Christ and Him alone. We have no refuge in this world. We have no refuge in the corrupt professing church. Our only refuge is in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ. We need to thank Him every day for the precious word that He has left to us, the anointed and tried word of God. That through time the Lord has purposed that it would keep a pure stream. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. (Psalm 12:6) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Psalm 12:7) The psalmist used the word silver representing the word as the written word, for the Living Word of God is gold: pure, tried and precious.

The Blood of the Covenant and Judgment

By the river of God, the pure waters of His word, we plant our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. And as we meditate on the fortress of His word, we are as trees that brings forth His fruit in His season. Our leaf will not fade because our life is from above. In all the years that I have been reading and studying the book of Psalms, it is only recently that I have seen it as a book of separation beginning with Psalm 1. We are not to walk in the way of wicked men, nor stand in the way of sinners, and the man of God’s choosing will refuse to sit in the seat of the scornful for his delight is in the law of the Lord and in God’s law he mediates day and night. This equips him to walk in the way of the Lord.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (Psalm 1:1) But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (Psalm 1:2) And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (Psalm 1:3)

Because Israel refused to meditate day and night on the law of the Lord, they ended weeping by the waters of Babylon as captives as their captors required of them a song of Zion. They remembered Zion and wept. They mused back to the anointing of Aaron in the beginning and at the birth of the nation of Israel. Their hopes had been ripped from their breasts, and their own sin had brought them into captivity as slaves by the rivers of Babylon.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1) It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garment; (Psalm 133:2) As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. (Psalm 133:3)

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. (Psalm 137:1) We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. (Psalm 137:2) For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. (Psalm 137:3) How shall we sing the LORD’S song in a strange land? (Psalm 137:4) If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. Psalm 137:5) If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy. (Psalm 137:6) Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof. (Psalm 137:7) O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. (Psalm 137:8) Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones. (Psalm 137:9)

In our current Church age, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ has been carried away into a spiritual land of Babylon, and the doors of Babylon, the great gates of iniquity have been closed to the true servants of God. It is not God’s order in the church of Babylon, but it is Satan’s order deceiving multitudes: Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision. For there is no hope in the Church of Babylon, and one day this scarlet whore will be destroyed, but those who love the Lord will meditate on His law day and nigh and find their peace in His presence in the solitude of brook Cherith.
The great false church of Babylon and its many temples will melt with fervent heat. We also have the temples of man’s government, yes, government worships itself. It is man’s government that has proclaimed that there is no god, and they themselves, as man, rule over the kingdoms of this world. In the wisdom of God, we already see the governments of this world falling block by block. We are approaching a time of utter chaos through wars, and famines, and man-made plagues, and unjust economic systems. Man will eat his own putrid deserts for his evils. There is only ONE upholder of the whole earth, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ, the Jehovah of the Old Testament, who is ONE and the same. He is the ONLY Savior and the ONLY judge of the earth, and He is ready to bring His judgment on the earth. The four horsemen and horses of the Apocalypse will be overshadowed by God’s sovereign judgment. Man will hide in dens and caves and in bunkers pleading with tears for the rocks to fall upon them to hide them from the face of God, and His wrath. . . Yes, the wrath of the Lamb slain from the foundations of the world. (Revelation 6). Man will weep bitterly for their end to come, but let’s not forget that the Lord Jesus also wept three times before the cross. He wept over a friend, and all of humanity. Jesus wept. (John11:35) He also wept over His city, Jerusalem, And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it. (Luke 19:41) Then, in the garden of sorrow, He wept with strong crying and tears.

(Luke 22:44)

Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; (Hebrews 5:7)

When the scene was set previously to the tomb, the crowd of mourners mocked the Lord Jesus Christ. He mourned within Himself, and wept. Lazarus tomb was sealed, and death had closed over a friend, but in the light of the presence of God, the miracle of resurrection witnessed to all of the power of life within the Lord Jesus Christ. He stood before the tomb and ordered that the stone be rolled away. He was there to confront the Law of Sin and Death with the Spirit of life that was within Him. He had come to break the bands of death and to set Lazarus free from the Law of Sin and Death which had been given to Adam before sin. When the Lord Jesus stood before the tomb of Lazarus, there were two divine Laws that were in conflict with each other: the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus had come to destroy the Law of Sin and Death. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2)
When Jesus declared to Martha that He was the great I AM, He phrased, I AM the resurrection and the life, which He openly displayed at the tomb of Lazarus. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: (John 11:25) And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? (John 11:26)
Once I heard a child speak about John 11:35, Jesus wept. The simplicity of His words should be held in every heart. The child stood up and said, God cried. Think of the divine soul who knew what laid before Him, was He not looking over all of humanity under the Law of Sin and Death. Did He not see all the children of faith that He would raise up the last day? Did He not see all the tormented souls who would spend eternity in the lake of fire? Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: for Adam brought sin and death into the world. (Romans 5:12)
The tears that rolled down the cheeks of God were for all of mankind, good or bad; saved or unsaved. It is the weeping of God’s own heart that He gave Himself for the sin of the whole world. We should all weep at what is soon coming. I believe that next year at this time, you will not recognize our present world. This ungodly world has taken on a spirit of insanity. There’s no wisdom throughout all areas of society, the people are marked with Genesis 6:5. And this will lead us to Revelation Chapter 13 and the insanity of the Beast, and the world of the mark. The first mention of the word mark is in Genesis 4:15, And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. Cain was marked by God, set apart from the world with the mark of rebellion, that was his identity, for he was of the wicked one, the devil. The rebellious conformers of this world will gladly take the mark of the Beast. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads. (Revelation 13:16) However, there will be those of faith who will lay down their lives and refuse to take the mark of the Beast. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Revelation 20:4) This is the last mention of the word mark, the satanic mark of the Beast, and it can only be refused by the faith that is within the children of God. To refuse the mark of the Beast will be sure death.
The ungodly of this world live in a willing state of delusion. They are willing to follow sin and corruption and abide by the will of the willing establishments of governmental and religion. As the Medes and Persians, in the days of Babylon, conquered Babylon through the waters that bordered and protected the city, so also the borders of the United States have been opened to all to come in to destroy what is left of the society of the United States of America. This is all part of the planned play book of those who rule over this nation. They are using this situation to cement their control over the masses, and to eliminate, if possible, Americanism. They do not see the self-destruction of their insanity. There is only one reason to have a one world order, and this is to put ALL into slavery under a one world system. In Psalm 73, Asaph was troubled when he looked on the wicked and how they prospered. It was only when He went into the presence of the Lord that he knew their end. Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. (Psalm 73:17) Asaph had his eyes opened by God to know the end of those of tyranny, slavery and sin.

In our world and in our age, we have a witness of death, even the dead cry out, but no one hears them. As they fantasize their life, they also fantasize their death. In life they live in a dream world that does not exist, in death they are told of a dream world that does not exist. I have heard some of the nicest things said about the most wicked people at their funerals. And I am probably the only one who has ever said at a funeral ceremony that this particular dead person was more a child of hell than of heaven. And if looks could have killed, I would be a dead man.
I know the tragedy of Adam, I was born into this world as part of that tragedy, and only through God’s love that I stand secure in the grace of God in my Savior, Jesus Christ. I stand in the covenant of blood, the blood of God’s beloved Son for both Jew and Gentile, for both male and female, for both bond and free, for both rich and poor. In this very day, all who have refused the blood of the everlasting covenant stand in judgment before the Almighty God. (Hebrews 10:27)

But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. (Hebrews 10:27) He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: (Hebrews 10:28) Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:29) For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. (Hebrews 10:30) It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (Hebrews 10:31)

God’s love came in the fullness of righteousness in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ. He fulfilled ALL God’s righteousness in the divine love of God. We are now in the morning of His second coming, and both men and nations should fear for He is coming as a consuming fire. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: (Hebrews 12:28) For our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:29) He will come to destroy all the evil and ungodly sinners.

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, (Jude 1:14) To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. (Jude 1:15) These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. (Jude 1:16) But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; (Jude 1:17) How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. (Jude 1:18) These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. (Jude 1:19) But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, (Jude 1:20) Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (Jude 1:21) And of some have compassion, making a difference: (Jude 1:22) And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. (Jude 1:23) Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, (Jude 1:24) To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Jude 1:25)

Entire nations will feel His wrath, the wrath of the Lamb slain from the foundations of the world. If you take Revelation Chapter 6 and join it to this portion from Jude, you will see the intensity of the judgment to come. Under the everlasting covenant in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Testator of the will of God, the nations of the world will either submit or be trampled in God’s wrath. There are two great open battles that will take place: the first one will be BEFORE the millennial kingdom when the Lord Himself will come to trample the nations. (Isaiah 63) Then the second and final battle will be AFTER the thousand years of peace and bliss. The devil will be loosed from the bottomless pit for a short season, and although mankind had been blessed and enjoyed those blessings, at the behest of Satan and the sin within mankind, the nations of the world will rise up once more and come up against Jerusalem and the kingdom of God.
The Bible states that the heavenly saints will reign with Christ ON earth throughout His millennial kingdom. It will truly be heaven come down to earth, but first, the suffering of this world will come because of their blatant sin against the Almighty God. Christ will war against the nations of this world and beat them into submission.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. (Revelation 19:11) His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. (Revelation 19:12) And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. (Revelation 19:13) And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. (Revelation 19:14) And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. (Revelation 19:15) And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. (Revelation 19:16) And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; (Revelation 19:17)  That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. (Revelation 19:18) And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. (Revelation 19:19) And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. (Revelation 19:20) And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. (Revelation 19:21)

And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. (Ezekiel 39:17) Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. (Ezekiel 39:18) And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. (Ezekiel 39:19) Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 39:20) And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. (Ezekiel 39:21) So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward. (Ezekiel 39:22) And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword. (Ezekiel 39:23) According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them. (Ezekiel 39:24) Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; (Ezekiel 39:25) After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. (Ezekiel 39:26) When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; (Ezekiel 39:27) Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.(Ezekiel 39:28) Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 39:29)

For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. (Isaiah 54:5) For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. (Isaiah 54:6) For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. (Isaiah 54:7) In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer. (Isaiah 54:8) For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. (Isaiah 54:9) For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee. (Isaiah 54:10) O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. (Isaiah 54:11) And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. (Isaiah 54:12) And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. (Isaiah 54:13) In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. (Isaiah 54:14) Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. (Isaiah 54:15) Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. (Isaiah 54:16) No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. (Isaiah 54:17)

Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD. (Amos 9:8) For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. (Amos 9:9) All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us. (Amos 9:10) In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: (Amos 9:11) That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this. (Amos 9:12) Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. (Amos 9:13) And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. (Amos 9:14) And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God. (Amos 9:15)

And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. (Zechariah 13:9)

After this mighty war, Christ will set up His millennial kingdom and He will make His covenant with Israel at this time AFTER THOSE DAYS. They will be His people, and He will be their God. Now when these thousand years are completed, we have Revelation 20:7-10.

And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, (Revelation 20:7) And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. (Revelation 20:8) And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. (Revelation 20:9) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revelation 20:10)

This second great battle will be directed by Satan himself after he has been loosed from the bottomless pit when he stirs up the nations against Jerusalem, and their King, the Lord Jesus Christ. But all those things that are to come is for another message, we must return to the everlasting covenant and the witness of the Holy Ghost in Hebrews Chapter 10.

The Everlasting Covenant Sealed Forever

In Hebrews Chapter 8 we see more of the earthly sanctuary for Christ is foreshadowed as the Minister of the sanctuary including both heaven and earth. Both Chapter 8 and 10 are bound by the blood of Chapter 9 for it is Christ who is the Testator of good things to come. As Hebrews Chapter 8 shows the worldly relationship of the covenant of Israel, so Chapter 10 reveals the heavenly side of the everlasting covenant. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, (Hebrews 10:15).
The Holy Ghost places a time for us in the Church Age. This is to give US confidence, not only through the ministry of the Holy Ghost, but His seal upon the word of God. The Holy Spirit used these words FOR AFTER THAT HE HAS SAID BEFORE. The Holy Ghost is referring to Himself as the Revealer of God’s word in the past. As He is in the present, He will be in the future. When we look closer, we can see a bond in the Spirit of God that the Holy Ghost is eternally tied to the Son of God in the Spirit of Christ.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (Romans 8:9)

To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. (Galatians 4:5) And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. (Galatians 4:6) Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. (Galatians 4:7)

In both in Romans 8:9 and Galatians 4:5 -7 we have the Spirit of Christ. In John 4, we have the Spirit of the Father, all united in one Spirit. In John 14, we have the invisible image of the Father in the visible image that is revealed in Jesus Christ.

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. (John 14:7) Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. (John 14:8) Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? (John 14:97)

The unity of the Godhead has no division, has no seams that can be parted. They are uniquely together in all their facets. Man, because of sin, has both division within and without, but God has no division. He is solidified in His complete GodHead, and Christ is the express IMAGE of that GodHead. As John 4 relates the Spirit of God to God the Father, so also, the Holy Ghost descending on Christ at His baptism links that same Spirit with the Son of God. And then throughout the epistles and the gospels, we see the mind of the Spirit of God giving us the word of God in both grace and truth. The Holy Ghost is connected to the Spirit of Christ in Romans 8:2, this is the same Spirit that we walk in, the Spirit of God is within us to give us the true mind regarding the word of God. So, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit ALL three in one in the fullness of the Godhead bodily without division. For him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. (Colossians 2:9)
In the days of Jeremiah, God in His foreknowledge spoke through Jeremiah putting the words of God in the mouth of Jeremiah through the testimony of the Holy Ghost within him. He related the everlasting covenant to Jeremiah and to the house of Israel. What we have covered up to now in this everlasting covenant not only affects Israel in the future but is present with us today. (Hebrews 8:10)

(Hebrews 8:11)

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; (Hebrews 10:16)

In Hebrews 10:16 God declares, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them. There is a difference from Hebrews 8:10, in Hebrews 8:10 concerning Israel, I will put my laws into their minds and write them in their hearts. The mind has an earthly connection. Hebrews 8:10 The heart has a heavenly connection in the Spirit of Christ. Hebrews 10:16 Also in Hebrews 8:10 we have a direct earthly connection with the house of Israel, when God will be their God and they will be His people. In verse 11 of Chapter 8 the Spirit of God brings more of the earth to us with the word neighbor and brother. The word brethren is not used as in Hebrews 2, and 3 as holy brethren. In Chapter 10 dealing with God’s heavenly people, the words neighbor and brother are missing. We are still brought into verse 17 of Chapter 10, but verse 19 is BIG for the Body of Christ. Israel is waiting for their future worldly sanctuary, but presently, as the children of God, we have boldness to enter into the holies of all by the blood of Jesus Christ. Also, the Holy Ghost relates that it is NOT the earthly veil that was rent, but it was the veil of His flesh which was rent for us. For we are sanctified both by His flesh and His blood. In the reality of salvation, at the new birth, the child whimpers for food, its food is the word of God. And a newborn child of God, as an infant, cannot get enough of the word of God. Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, (1st Peter 2:1) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: (1st Peter 2:2) If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. (1st Peter 2:3)
Peter describes the life and the breadth and the heartbeat of the newborn, it is the sincere words of God, the words of truth that has been tried seven times in the refiner’s fire. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. (Psalm 12:6) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Psalm 12:7) When we consider 1st Peter Chapter 2, what is the end of this desire for the sincere word of God? Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Psalm 119:11) The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. (Psalm 37:31) God says, I will put my laws in their hearts.
We have entered into the holiest, not through the rent Temple veil, but through the veil of the flesh of the Son of God. We have a present High Priest over the house of God. By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; (Hebrews 10:20) And having an high priest over the house of God.

But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. (Hebrews 3:6)

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. (Hebrews 4:14) For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:9)

Once more, we should see the difference between Hebrews Chapter 8 and 10. Although Chapter 9 unites them through the blood of the Testator, the Lord Jesus Christ, And although these two chapters are partakers of the everlasting covenant, one is of the earth, earthly, and the other is of the heavenlies. When Israel was given the Temple of God built by king Solomon, they were responsible to the sacrifices, to the building, to the sanctuary, and to the Levitical priesthood. All that has disappeared from our present age. As Israel could not be faithful to the Temple that God had given them, so now, the counterfeit church cannot be faithful to their privileges in the heavenly sanctuary. There is NO EARTHLY SANCTUARY ON EARTH TODAY. You have been deceived by the mind and heart of ungodly men. If you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you are a privileged people. You are a member of a ROYAL PRIESTHOOD that allows FULL access to the Sanctuary above and most of all you can enter into the Holy of Holies.
One fallacy in the church today is that they believe that they are an earthly people. They are NOT. Israel is of the earth, earthy, and the Church is of the heavenly. All the religious buildings on earth and the earthly edifices are but DUNG in the sight of the Lord. As Israel would not accept their responsibilities before God ON earth, the Church will not accept their privileges or their responsibilities to the heavenly Man, the heavenly Temple, and the heavenly Sanctuary. They refuse, as the Levites of old, to fulfill their royal priesthood as the children of God.
When Israel is married to the covenant, the everlasting covenant, they will again have an earthly Temple, and an earthly priesthood, and Christ will sit upon His throne as both Priest after the order and oath of Melchisedec, and King as the Root of David. Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. (Zechariah 6:13) It will be Christ who will be the Minister of the earthly Sanctuary as Melchisedec during the millennial kingdom. It is said of Him that He will build the Temple of the Lord. And as Melchisedec, He will continue to fulfill both His heavenly and earthly ministry in the power of His endless life without a beginning and a life without end. Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. (Hebrews 7:16) Notice that the words carnal commandments discloses that Christ was NOT born after the will of the flesh, but He was born with complete separation FROM Adam. He was SEPARATE from sinners. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; (Hebrews 7:26)

Christ was NOT born after the flesh. The Holy Spirit tells us that HE was MADE after the power of an endless life. The beginning of the creation of God (Revelation 3:13) was manifested in the LIKENESS of flesh, but NOT the flesh of Adam under sin. The birth of the Lord Jesus Christ was NOT the old man in Adam, but it was a NEW thing altogether. For the highest Himself SENT that holy thing, that holy Seed into the world, a new thing, and God was going to do a greater thing in the Body that was prepared in HEAVEN in true holiness and righteousness, a BODY capable of taking away the sin of the world. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: (Hebrews 10:5)
Our great High Priest after the order and oath of Melchisedec has been the Minister of the heavenly Sanctuary from BEFORE the worlds were. He continues His ministry among His own today. No matter where you are in this ungodly world, you can enter into His presence in heaven with a true heart for Christ. I would like you to understand that when the Lord Jesus walked on this earth that He exercised His priesthood as the True Melchisedec. He taught in the Temple as Melchisedec. They even asked Him who gave Him that authority, for they were expressing that only a priest could teach in the Temple. As Melchisedec from above, He touched and healed the leper.

When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. (Matthew 8:1) And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.(Matthew 8:2) And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. (Matthew 8:3) And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. (Matthew 8:4)

In the Law of the Leper, we find that leprosy exposed hidden sin in the individual; thus, leprosy was the outward expression of that sin that was within. Verse 2 of Leviticus Chapter 14 begins the Law of the Leper. This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought unto the priest. The last verse 57 in a very long Chapter deals with a very large problem, and this Chapter ends with the Law of Leprosy. To teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean: this is the law of leprosy.

When you understand this Law of Leprosy, it is a direct result of man’s HIDDEN sin under the Law. There was a specific provision for any sinner to confess their sin and to offer the prescribed sacrifice to God at the brazen altar. Hidden sin was outwardly displayed by this leprosy. And God openly exposed that person before the congregation, and that leprosy was directly connected to hidden sin. Whenever God judged an Israelite with leprosy, he was as good as dead. He was put out of the camp and could not go back to his home or have fellowship with others. He was in modern terms a dead man walking because of his sin. Read all of Leviticus 14 and study it and you will see the leprosy that has destroyed the professing church of our age.
In the days of the Law of the Leper, it was ONLY the high priest, Aaron, who could pronounce a leper clean, and the leper was still responsible for a repentant heart and was required to offer the proper sacrifice according to the Law of the Cleansing of Leprosy. In Matthew 8, Christ fulfilled the Law of Leprosy in two ways: first, after the order and oath of Melchisedec in His eternal priesthood of the most high God. (Psalm 110). Christ, the Supernatural Priest not of this earth, but a heavenly Priest who continues forever, stated before God His Father, I WILL be thou clean. And the leper was cleansed. He also touched the leper which NO NATURAL earthly priest could do. In this He showed the incorruptibility of His own flesh. Secondly, because of His priesthood as Melchisedec was of the heavenly, He veiled His priesthood to be obedient to the Law of the Leper. As He walked among man, His priesthood as Melchisedec was hidden from man, so He told the leper to go to the priest and to show thyself and offer the sacrifice according to the Law of the Leper of Leviticus 14.

You should realize that the Law did not pass away UNTIL Christ fulfilled the WHOLE LAW on the cross of Calvary. We should also consider Miriam, Aaron’s sister, she was found in trespass against God. (Numbers 12). Pay close attention here. The woman Miriam was out of place, as Eve, although Miriam was a Levite, there was no order of the priesthood given to a woman. Only Aaron and his SONS were anointed with the holy oil. Moses was God’s prophet, and God spoke to Moses face to face, and Moses was given the writings of God. Why is this important to Hebrews Chapter 10? It is important because Christ, as the great High Priest after the order and oath of Melchisedec entered into the Holy of Holies for US. For all of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God. God could only see us as lepers, dead before Him without life. When we as lepers in our sin believe in Christ then we are bringing the offering of His Son to God the Father in the Lamb of God Jesus Christ. Melchisedec, Christ the high Priest, the Son of God, already presented Himself to God as the everlasting Sacrifice upholding the everlasting covenant. We enter into that sacrifice to be cleansed of our leprosy called sin; therefore, God sees us crucified with Christ. (Galatians 2:20)
In the Law of the Leper, the leper actually had to partake of the blood of the sacrifice. As we partake of the blood of Christ, God SEES us in that sacrifice, and we, in turn, become sacrificial before God as His children, and sons to commit ourselves as a holy sacrifice to God. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (Romans 12:1)
It is only through the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus that we can be set free from the Law of Sin and Death. Christ became the eternal sin offering on the day of atonement, which was also the year of jubile, the year of freedom. (Leviticus 25 and 27) On the occasion of the crucifixion, these three things fell TOGETHER in perfect order. First, He was the Passover; secondly, it was ON the day of atonement, and thirdly, it was the year of jubile. This all took place in the fullness of time by the Body that was prepared for Him SEPARATE from sinners to be the divine sacrifice to take away sin and give ONE NEW MAN, a Man in heaven for us. This same Man who walked upon the earth is NOW the Man in heaven ministering in the heavenly Sanctuary and Supernaturally ministering to His own on earth as the great High Priest after the order and oath of Melchisedec.
As man, even professing Christians, sees Jesus of Nazareth on the earth, God the Father has a completely different view. The eyes of God see all the glory in the express image of His Son, the Son of His love. God the Father watched the glory of heaven go down to man, The glory of His Son, the glory of His heavenly priesthood as Melchisedec, the glory of the Body prepared for Him, the glory of His sinless life, the glory of His sin offering in Himself providing the Lamb of glory in His death and the Man of glory in His resurrection. God sees all this and more in His beloved Son. I believe the book of Hebrews was given to open our eyes to all the facets and all the glories that are in Jesus Christ our Lord. For Christ, as the Son of God, is the express image of the Person of God. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; (Hebrews 1:3).
We now enter into the Holy of Holies through His flesh and the blood of the mercy seat in heaven. As the children of God, we lay hold of verse 18 of Chapter 10 of Hebrews. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Our sins are forgiven through the blood of the Testator and there is no more offering for sin. The atonement of God was made of a perfect offering for the Lamb of God without spot or blemish took away our sin. Have you ever thought that there was so much in this wonderful book of Hebrews? Line upon line, precept upon precept, and all of this is to the glory of the Son of the Father’s love, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen, Selah.
